I got her and then Sofia dragged me into our bedroom. She wanted to cuddle and watch something – how could I refuse. Mike was happy to get a bit of cuddle time in as well. Pablo was happy to be allowed on the bed as well.
\nThen we got up and Mike made us brekky. After we had eaten Mike left to help a friend out for a few hours. Sofia got very active after having had a very slow start to the day. I wanted to take her quickly to a playground but she wasn’t keen to go so we stayed at home. We played, read books and then had an early lunch at about 10am. Sofia ate a lot. Good to see she has such good appetite.
\nSofia slept for a little less than an hour. She woke up crying… Now she tried to climb out as well. I’m glad we’ve ordered a bed. Hopefully it will get here soon. We cuddled for a bit. When I tried to put her back in, but she clung to me like a koala and started crying so horribly I couldn’t put her down. So I tried to let her fall asleep on me, but she seemed to just waking herself up so I put her back into bed. I explained she needed more sleep (as she was yawning away and rubbing her eyes) and she didn’t protest… Sofia tried to put herself to bed, but gave up after 15min so I got her back up.
\nSofia and I played and read books until Nani Claire come for a visit. Then we played with Sofia until Mike got home. He had brought flowers and Bailys for his mum and flower and chocolate for Sofia’s mum (me :)) seeing it was Mother’s Day :). Mike made a very nice late lunch and then we all went for a long walk with Pablo. Sofia pretty much ran much of the way – or got carried to her annoyance. When we got to the beach Mike took Pablo for a run on the beach. Nani Claire and I took Sofia to the playground. She loved it! She was running around, up and down the slides etc. After awhile to took Pablo for a quick run on the beach. The first thing that happened was that we ran into another dog that was just as keen to play – so they ran like crazy and played for 10min or so before we headed back. Sofia was still going strong. I gave her a 20 count warning. She keeps saying 1 more, 1 more (with one finger in the air) – sooooo cute! We headed home. Sofia wasn’t impressed but she got over it.
\nAt home Sofia had a snack pack of baby food before Nani made banana split for us. Sofia loved it! She reached a point however where Nani tried to feed her with the spoon and she said: NO he he. She’d clearly had enough. We got her in the bath tub and then to bed. She was asleep before 6.30pm.
\nSofia woke up crying once before we went to bed and then 3 more times during the night… Mike went in once and is my hero for that. It was such a sweet thing to do – I was soooo tired and exhausted.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
Sofia woke me up with a cry at 6.15am.
