She had a snack and a play whilst I made us brekky. Mike got up at the end and took over do I could have a shower. Then he got ready for work. For the first time today Sofia let us know she didn’t want him to leave with a sound. She got a bit sad after he went out the door so I showed her daddy getting into the car and taking off and I talked about what was happening. Not sure if it helped, but at least it didn’t make it worse. After a short play it was time for a nap. Sofia slept for almost 1.5hours.

When Sofia woke up she had a snack and we went grocery shopping. When we got back we played. Sofia went to me a couple of times with a few steps, but also went between things herself. She dared to let go and give it a try – yay! She landed on her bum a couple of times, but she also went quite a few steps a couple of times. I can’t wait for her to become less snotty so I can take her to the playground so she can move around properly. Then we had lunch. He rubbed her eyes a couple of times at the end, but refused to say she was done. I finally had to make the decision for her and put her to bed. She cried the first minute of the routine, but after just a couple if minutes in bed she was asleep – and she slept for 1.5 hours. She must have needed it.

When Sofia woke up she had a snack and then we played for abut and read a few books. Then I started dinner and she kept playing in the playroom. I was amazed how well she played by herself today. The dog was a different story however. Poor thing hadn’t had a walk so I can’t really get mad at him. The Houdini dog did mange to find his way in and out of the kitchen – stealing Sofia’s toys and driving me nuts. Then Sofia let me know she wanted attention so we cuddled for a good minute before I went back into the kitchen. But then next time was a lot shorter so I decided to sit her in a baby chair on the kitchen bench. It worked for a little while…. By that stage dinner was almost done so I let her down. She hung off my legs (and also let go sometimes and went walking a few steps towards a cupboard) for the last 5 minutes. Then we sat down for dinner and ate together. Sofia takes her time and enjoys her food. She sat down eating for 45-50minutes! Then daddy was home and we went through the nighttime routine together. Once again Sofia goes crazy crying when I’m about to put her to bed. Clinging to me :(. I stroke her tummy until she was calm and then we left. Sofia cried and sat up so I went back in after a few minutes. I was only going to put her back down but her desperate cry got to me. I picked her up, but even that didn’t seem enough so I put her on me I in the chair and we cuddled. She got calm and I thought she was going to try to sleep, but then she looked at me with that cheeky smile and started talking to me – cooing and smiling. Soooo I put her back into bed with a few belly rubs and then left. She only cried for a couple of minutes before she fell asleep.

Sofia threw a ball for the first time today. I didn’t even show her how (which probably works in her favour). Clever girl.

Here is a few videos of Sofia:

Stomping 1

Stomping 2

On the wheele

Sofia woke up at 6am so I got her.
