Sofia woke up at 7am. Nani had started making brekky so we sat down together. Afterwards Sofia and I went to Tian’s 2 year birthday party. It was lots of fun. They had a blow up pool, with a slide.., and a jumping castle! Sofia was in the pool most of the time. She also had almost a whole piece of cake by herself – and she helped herself to a cracker from someone else’s plate. When I offered to go and replace the cracker the woman just laughed and said it’s all good – that they’re all like that at that age. Sofia didn’t look tired and she was going strong, but I decided to go home a bit passed 10am. I was glad I did, because she was still so hyper… I sat her in the high chair so I could feed her, but she didn’t eat much. I tried to wind her down by taking a couple of books to bed and read to her as an extra… She was still babbling away and excited until I left. It took her at least 30minutes to calm down enough to try to sleep and then she just konked.
Unfortunately she only slept for 1.5hours. Mike got home whilst she was sleeping, but he was tired so he slept for a bit. I didn’t let Sofia know daddy was home so he could sleep. Once Mike was up he came out and surprised her. Sofia was happy to have her daddy back.
Sofia looked so tired so after cuddling her daddy and spending a bit of time with him I tried to put her back to bed. After 20minutes she was just laying there babbling away so I got her back up.
I took Pablo for a walk whilst Mike played with Sofia. When I got back Nani had made veggies so I just fried up some fish fingers and we all had dinner together. Sofia has over the last couple of days started wanting us to help her with the spoon when she’s eating. First I’ll help, then Nani and then Mike etc. So funny. Once again the meal was terminated because Sofia starts throwing her food on the floor. Then it was bath time and bedtime. She was crying so much. Mike went back in, and then so did I… She had some pain relief but when I’m in there cuddling her she just wants to talk… so I had to leave her so that she would get her sleep…
Sofia said Nani for the first time today! Yay! She said it properly too 🙂

So many new things for Sofia, playing at friends place, it’s all exciting, no wonder she is taking time to fall asleep. It all has to be absorbed……..-:)
