Sofia woke up really crying again at 11pm. I went in to calm her down, but she was still soft crying in my arms every 30 seconds or so. After a bit of neurofen and some breast milk she was calm and ready to find sleep again. The next time she woke up was at 3am, and then again at 7am.
We read some books. Then Sofia played a bit whilst I got breakfast ready. She had red lentils, celery, zucchini, sweet potato and kale. And no, that is not a tasty combination in case you are wondering! Lucky for me she hasn’t really developed those tastebuds yet ;).
I put her down a little bit earlier than 9am because she was yawning and seemed very tired, so I was expecting her to have a longer sleep but she didn’t. She had an hour, but it wasn’t long enough for me to eat and find my sleep… that is, I think I got 5 minutes ha ha.
When Sofia got up we played, and then I got lunch ready. She had oatmeal, blueberries and yogurt – and boy oh boy did she love it ha ha. She kept making yummy noises, telling me to hurry up with the spoon action and opening her mouth wide in anticipation. Sooo cute :). We had a bit of a play again after lunch and all seemed good, although she’s crying a bit sometimes now when I walk away to get something done.
When I took her to bed all seemed fine, she was good with the whole routine so I thought she was happy to go to bed. Then as soon as I put her down in bed and was halfway out the door she started crying – or screaming I should say. I gave it a minute before I went back in, then stoking her back etc quickly before going back out, leaving her for a little bit longer etc. I starts feeling like child abuse however, so bring her back out and try to let her fall asleep on me… but that is wrong too! After 45min she has finally decided I am good to sleep on. As soon as she’s asleep she is laughing! Full on out loud belly laugh… Hmmmm, it must be so so you won’t smother them in their sleep ;), because in that moment I couldn’t have loved her any more and the screaming was forgotten.
She woke up herself after about 20minutes, and it was just in time for dinner, and the night time routine. Same thing… she started crying/ screaming when we left the bedroom, but this time she got quiet real quick, but it took her awhile to fall asleep. Hopefully she will have a good night sleep tonight.
