Sofia was up at 2am and did not want to go back to sleep. I tried letting her cry for a little bit, but no luck… plus she was up at 5.45am as well. I just said good morning to her and we all went for a family walk on the beach. I was sooooooo tired today…
I felt it would be a stretch if we would make swimming because of when she had her nap. Sofia slept for almost 2 hours. She had avocado about 30min after breastfeeding and about 45min before swimming. By the time she got tired it was time to go to swimming. I wasn’t sure it was a great choice I was making, but she loves swimming so much so I risked it. She was almost sleeping by the poolside (we had to wait 5 minutes) with her thumb in her mouth, but as soon as we hit the water and started floating around she woke up. HUGE smiles for the teacher and for her mummy. Sofia would not sit on the edge of the pool however; she kept locking her knees and trying to go head first into the water ha ha. The teacher said it’s quite common… it’s the next step… as they now know what’s about to happen. After swimming I thought she’d be sleeping for awhile for sure, but don’t think she got enough milk to keep her happy as she was up 50min later.
I took her to get measured, and got really confused by the results. Last time I weighed her was a month ago and she was 6.9kg, now she was 7kg?! Surely she has put on more that 100grams? Her height last time was 62cm and now it was 66cm.
After the next nap I put her facing outward in the carrier and peeled some plums (thanks mum :)), cut in pieces and boiled them into a mash. Then I took out a portion of rice porridge (made earlier) and mixed it. Sofia seemed very interested, especially when I used the knife… She ate all of it – and that was probably 1.5 portion at least! I had breastfed her 30min before that… Sofia really loves her food. Here is a clip of her eating. She even makes yummy noises when she’s really enjoying it ha ha. She even had a decent amount of breastmilk before bedtime.
At the bathtub, when I remove her nappy… I do it in one swift motion and say in a high pitched voice; “Are you ready? One, two, three…. NAKED!”. Sofia gives out this happy squeal and wears a HUGE smile for ear to ear. She went to bed without fairly easy today, just put her head on my chest and thumb in her mouth whilst I was singing… and continued with the thumb after I put her down.
It’s been a very nice day, but also a pretty full on day on very little sleep. I think it will be a pretty early night. I am glad Mike has 4 days off now. Looking forward to seeing a bit more of him before I won’t see him for 3 weeks (Mark and Majella is going on holiday).

ikke bli forbauset over at det ikke er “nok” gaining osv. Det forandrer seg hele tiden. Ta det HELT med ro – så lenge jenta ser sunn og frisk ut, er alt irden. Heldigvis 🙂
