I woke up around 6.15am and took Pablo for a walk on the beach. It wasn’t the best walk as Pablo threw up a few times at the beach poor thing. He still ran around and played with the other dogs however. When I got back Sofia had woken up and was eating brekky Mike had made. Then Mike got ready for work and Sofia and I went to swimming. Sofia is still wanting to cling on to me like a koala at swimming. And today she got out of the pool twice and started walking towards the door so I had to get out too and grab her. However, she still seems to have fun and does most of what she’s supposed to. When we got home Sofia had a snack and I put her to bed. She was in bed asleep by 11.30.
Sofia slept for 2 hours. When she woke up she had a snack and then we went grocery shopping and also got a few warmer options for Sofia now that we’re heading towards winter. It was an interesting experience. Sofia was getting bored and getting quite vocal. She had some people laughing and some people just staring. She was even singing from the top of her lungs. It was pretty stressful trying to get everything today and keep her happy enough to sit in the trolly. Plus I have had to chase her all around today. If I say we’re going somewhere or doing something she runs in the opposite direction. She’s figured out how to get into the garage, so I had to chase her around the car a few times… When we were leaving the mall this nice guy trying to sell stuff gave Sofia a ballon – even after I told him we couldn’t afford anything… which I thought was very nice.
When we got home i unpacked whilst Pablo and Sofia played with the ballon. I told Sofia what would happen the way they were playing – but I also thought it might be a good learning experience. It didn’t take long before I heard ‘bang’ and it got quiet. As I come over Sofia looks at me with a surprised grin on her face and then she grins cheekily at me. I said ‘I told you so didn’t I?’ and she laughs. I then got dinner ready. We facetime’d with both Mormor and Morfar during dinner. It was so nice to see them both :). Afterwards it was bath time, where she decided to empty a glass of water out of the bath – almost on top of me. I was trying to get her into her sleeping bag and she thought it would be funny to roll and kick… Sofia went to sleep with only an initial protest… I hope she’ll have a good night sleep.
Once she was in bed and I had done some house chores I wanted to sit down and turn the tv on, but I couldn’t find the remote. After doing some jobs online i looked properly and I found it behind the back of the sofa…. Clever girl…
I think I have cracked the code of changing Sofia’s poo nappy without her kicking around and getting poo everywhere. I’ve been trying giving her toys etc, and that hadn’t worked. Books however seems to do the trick 🙂
