Sofia’s gums must be bothering her. She woke at 2am which she haven’t done that for a few weeks now. When I got her at 6.30am she was awake, but it didn’t take long for her to look tired. I waited for about 30minutes after breastfeeding before I gave her some avocado, and asked Mike to take photos so you can participate in her first bites (if you want ;)). It is a bit over-kill, but I get a bit carried away…
The last few times Sofia and I have gone swimming I have been singing our bath-time song “Splish splash I was taking a bath…” when I get her ready. It’s fun because now I swear she knows where we are going and se is all smiles. She loves her swimming lessons.
Around 4pm she would not feed much from me, and although ‘they’ say you should make sure she is full on milk and then wait 30minutes before giving any solids I decided to giver her some more avocado. Sofia had quite a bit (probably half a table spoon) and was opening her mouth to get more, so she ended up getting just a tiny bit of banana as well. I took photos of that too – she was just too cute and I couldn’t resist ha ha.
After another sleep I decided to take dog and baby to the park/beach. I brought a blanket for Sofia, as I envisioned her playing on the grass and me trowing a stick with Pablo. He got to meet a few dogs and run around, but he is too curious and energetic around Sofia so it wasn’t very relaxed. Suddenly when I try to get the stick off him he jerks the stick and it smashes into my already damaged wrist. It hurt like ….! And it still hurts now. Think I better get it checked out by a specialist this time.

It is really cute when Sofia gets solid food. I watched when she gets that spoon near her face, she wants to monitor the spoon herself, her hand grabs that spoon and tries to get it where it belongs. With a little help from Mum, it lands in the right place……..other times, you know, and we all know, where it lands…….. just anywhere……. it is so wonderful to watch Sofia to try and manoeuvre that spoon somewhere near where it should go…… You are doing very well Sofia……-:) you are only 5 1/2 months “young” …….. -:)
