I woke up just before 7am. The monitor had died and when I turned it back on she was awake … :(. We had brekky and then we took a family walk to a nearby playground (including Pablo). There were a couple of kids playing (brother and sister). The sister was 4 and I think the brother must have been younger because he was shorter. They were both climbing and jumping around. Sofia instantly liked the girl and went up to her. After saying hi Sofia grabbed my hand to go up the stairs to the slide and then reached for the girl. The girl looked confused and I said Sofia wanted to hold her hand (and that she didn’t need to if she didn’t want to), but she just grabbed Sofia by the hand and started helping her up the stairs with me. Her name was Winter – very cute girl. The brother was a bit different and got a bit rough with Sofia a couple of times. I told him to be nice a few times and he seemed to listen. Afterwards we went to a different park so Pablo could run free for awhile. It was getting pretty hot, so when we started heading back at around 10.15 Pablo was struggling a bit. At home I gave Sofia an early lunch and a drink and put her to bed. Mike left for an inspection (work) in Maleny.
Sofia woke up after an hour. She sat up and everything, but went back to sleep thank goodness and slept till 1.30pm. We ate, drank, played games and read stories until Mike was back around 4pm. Then I went shopping whilst Mike played with Sofia and fed her dinner. When I got back I put the groceries away and then it was bath time for Sofia. And then bedtime. She did well, but about 10minutes after we had left she started screaming. I ran in thinking she’d bumped her head, but she was good as soon as I held her so I just gave her a long cuddle. She wasn’t quite happy with it though and cried when I left. Then Mike went in and gave her the longest cuddle in the chair and she seemed ok when he left. She then tried for awhile but then made a few noises before finally falling asleep.

The playtime at the park may have gone through Sofia’s mind, one never knows. It’s good when they can talk, so one knows what bothers them …….-:)
