Sofia slept through till 6.30am… :). She did wake and whinge a bit at 5am, but didn’t cry and put herself back to sleep. Mike took both our cars to get a dark window tint today – it looks nice.
We read books, played for a bit, had breakfast and then a bit more of a play… Sofia is now standing up assisted! She has done that before, but now she holds on herself for up to 5min at the time. And sometimes she lets go of one hand… It’s amazing to watch 🙂
When Sofia had her first nap Mike cleaned out the garage and I did some housework. She had a good 1.5 hour sleep. By the end of her nap she was doing her usual ‘yoga pose’ when she flipped backwards and banged her head on the side of the bed – ‘bang!’. I watched to see if she would cry, but nah… she kept going… but then she did it again! It was quite loud, but no sound from her. I went in at that stage however and had a look at my little girl and she seemed a bit confused and not quite there – but then again she had just woken up. She seemed to do much better after a few more minutes…. phew :).
Then we read books, played and had lunch before her second nap. Her second nap was only 30 minutes… We went for a family outing to the park. Pablo got to run for a bit, and Sofia got to try out the swings etc. She was enjoying being out, but most of the swings, side etc seem to not register too much.
Once we got back it was time for bed for Sofia, but she was not happy about it – even though she was clearly tired… After 20min of trying to put herself to sleep she all of a sudden started crying. I went in and she had got her foot caught in one of the bed ‘slots’. Her face was all wet from all the tears, even though I was quick to get in there. I tried to nurse her to sleep, but she decided to have a massive conversation with herself and do some gymnastics at the same time… and also smacking me in the face and grabbing my throat with her nails… I had to call quits. At that stage it was time for dinner, so I got her back up. I had to express as she didn’t feed properly. Then we FaceTime’d with ‘mormor’ and ‘morfar’ for a bit before dinner. It was soooo nice to chat – and Sofia really lights up when she sees them. I look forward to her reaction when she sees them in real life 🙂
After dinner we did the night time routine and put Sofia to bed – 1 hour early (6pm) because she had been awake for so long. She did protest a bit, but seemed ok before we left the room. She had a tiny bit of a whinge before very quickly falling asleep. Then all of a sudden at 8pm she started crying. When I went in her whole face was wet with tears and she kept crying for a bit. She was very tired and seemed content (for the first time) to just be rocked in my arms (vertically) whilst she was sucking her thumb… She was pretty much back to sleep when I put her back down and she stayed that way for another 20min or so before she had a little whinge in her sleep. Then another one in another 20min… Poor thing, I don’t know what is going on with her, but I am not liking it… Hopefully the rest of the night will go better for her.

Could it be the swing, Mona? As I remember reading also after the first time on the swing, the night was not a good one……..these are all new things for the little body……..
But I love it the way you describe when the “little” one ATTACKS you…… -:)
