Sofia had a good night sleep and woke up at 6.30am. She and I had a play whilst Mike walked the dog. Then Mike got ready for work and Sofia and I had breakfast. We had a bit more of a play and then I put Sofia to bed. That is… she seemed really scared for me to put her to bed and was clinging to me. She cried intensely so I ended up having her sleep on my in a raised position so she could breath better. It was hard, because I have entered the coughing phase…and I really didn’t want to wake her up. I managed after 20min to get her into bed with her seeming happy to be there. She slept for about an hour.
When Sofia woke up we played and had lunch. Then I took her with me shopping. We bought some nice baby books. When we got back it had been just over 3hours since she slept last. I hurried up to get her into bed, and she was tired going through the routine, but as soon as I got her into bed it was like a switch got turned on. She went ballistic and started trashing around and even made a few screeches. I had to laugh at one point – comparing her to the sloth in Ice Age when he’s trying to go to sleep! So funny. Not so much fun after a little while as I knew she would have to sleep and I was running out of time. I tried everything! I finally had success on the boob a second time… She slept on me for 15-20minutes. It’s better than nothing.
It was 5pm at that stage so I got her out and we played for about 45minutes before dinner and the nighttime routine. She was asleep by 7.30pm.
Then I sterilised Sofia’s toys and playroom when Mike got home from work…
Sofia woke up once before midnight and needed some comfort before she could get back to sleep.

I wonder what Sofia will say when she can talk. It sounds clearly as if she wants to relate something to you, Mona, when she refuses………. and gets up and down etc. ……. -:)
