Sofia didn’t wake until 6am, which was good. I got her and she had a feed and a snack before Mike played with her so I could have a shower. Then we swapped and I made brekky. When Mike got out of the shower Sofia said ‘pappa’ very clearly. She did a couple of days ago too, but I was wondering if I had really heard it or if I just wanted to… Sadly Mike didn’t hear it, but I did my clever little Sofia. We ate brekky together before Mike had to go to work. Sofia is getting better at eating with a spoon herself. She did end up wearing most of the porridge however… Halfway to her mouth you could she her thinking… she stopped and tipped the spoonful right into her lap. Then another one… slowly… Hilarious to watch, but I was doing quite well (I think) not to laugh. She was too busy with what she was doing to notice me anyway. Sofia and I played together out in the yard and Pablo was there with us. He was getting too boisterous however and ended up jumping on Sofia! Not a sound from her, but we instantly left Pablo in the yard and went into the playroom. I could see marks after his nails on her leg :(. After a little play it was time for her morning nap. It took her awhile to fall asleep. I am not sure if it’s because she was too tired (she looked tired, but I had seen no eye rubs etc) or not tired enough? Sofia slept for a little over an hour. I slept too today…
When Sofia woke up she had snacks and a drink before we went shopping for a few things. When we got back I put things away and heated up yesterdays dinner so we could have lunch. That went down well as she loves to pick at her food. When she started scooping the food off the table and down onto the seat next to her I thought… ok don’t react, but then she took her foot up onto the seat and started stomping in it and having a great time. I then said; ‘ok, you’re done’, grabbed her and removed her from her seat. Wiped her down, the high chair and the floor. Pablo got lunch as well today… Afterwards I put her to bed (1.20pm). It took her a little while to fall asleep again.., but she slept till 3pm.
When Sofia woke up she had a little snack and then all of us (Pablo included) went to the park. Sofia was on her trike :). She walked quite a bit, and we threw the ball for Pablo. The dog seemed to enjoy himself. Towards the end a large family came by… and I managed to get Pablo to stay, until…. Sofia had seen them and started walking towards them – loudly saying ‘hi’ and waving her little hand. Sooooo cute! Their little girl (almost 2) started walking up to Sofia, but because they all walked a bit closer Pablo got up and wanted to go over there. I stopped him, but as the little girl got closer he actually growled a bit! So I didn’t trust him – I picked him up. The dad asked me if the little girl was ok to say hi. I said it was fine, I had just picked up the dog because he seemed to get a bit protective and he’s a bit boisterous. The little girls had a quick and very cute hallo before they walked off again. On the way home a neighbour fell in love with Pablo. She was very bubbly and funny. Her husband and her are wanting to get a dog and she’s trying to convince him to get a french bulldog. As we’re talking and Pablo is getting the loving of a lifetime Mike come up to us – he’d just gotten home from work. We get home and sort out dinner for Sofia. Then it’s time for her nighttime routine. She goes to bed with a tiny protest after we closed the door, but is asleep at 7pm.

Congratulation, Mona, your patient teaching works, I’m sure, she learns to eat so well, it is quite a thing to get that spoon the right way into where it needs to go, she is doing very well.
