Sofia woke up crying again at 1.30am. I went in and she seemed to want to get back asleep. I stayed, but she cried a bit after awhile so maybe the teeth are hurting her again? I ended up giving her pain relief and trying again. She just didn’t seem to get back to sleep and she cried as soon as I left, but after more than an hour I just had to. She cried a lot though, so I ended up going back in and bringing her into our bed. Then after about 30-45min I had enough of kicking and rolling and I got her back into bed. As I put her into bed I told her that she needs to sleep, that I love her and that I will see her in the morning. She didn’t say anything and just went right into finding her sleep. I was soooo impressed with my little girl. Sofia then slept till 7.15am.
I got up and got her. Nani Claire had made brekky, but our now fussy eater only had a few mouth fulls. Then she had a few more mouth fulls of different things like berries, cheese etc. whilst I got ready. Afterwards we left for Gymbaroo. It was fun as usual, but Sofia ran away every 2 minutes this time. Good work out for me though ha ha. Afterwards I always change her nappy before heading home. This time, when I was on my knees in the disabled toilet pulling up her nappies when she touched my head very gently and said ouch/au… I pulled back a bit too get up and realised the corner if the sink had been above my head! It was so amazing to me that she warned me – very touching moment :).
When we got home I tried to feed Sofia but she just wasn’t very hungry. She’d had a couple of snacky things in the car… I just hoped she wouldn’t wake up because she was hungry, but she slept for almost 2.5 hours! She must have been very hungry.
When Sofia woke up she had a snack and we played until Nani Claire got back. Nani Claire made beautiful fritters with parmesan cheese… Sofia had 4 before she threw a whole one on the floor for Pablo. After that we had a short play, and I read half a book before I had to start dinner. Nani Claire played with Sofia and I got the occasional cuddles. Sofia loved dinner and had a good portion even after the fritters. Then it was time for bath and bed. Sofia was in bed by 7pm and asleep at about 7.30pm. She went to bed with no protest or issues.
Sofia does seem to have issues every time I have to change her nappy these days, not sure what that’s about… And she’s almost pulling down her nappies at this stage.
