Sofia woke us up at 10.30 last night. Poor thing was really crying… So I went in, that didn’t help so went in again… and that didn’t help so Mike went in… and that didn’t help so I went in again. At midnight I went back to bed….
At 6am Sofia woke us up again. We read books, had breakfast and played until the morning nap which ended up being at 8ish today. She slept for 40minutes, so I ended up taking her to mothers group (only three other girls were there). Whilst I was getting ready Sofia decided she didn’t like being alone, so I had to take her with me through everything I was doing. By the time we got there and said hi I realised I had forgotten Sofia’s bag (with nappies, change of clothes, toys, food etc) – so I left the pram with the girls and took Sofia with me to get the bag. When I got back to the girls I fed Sofia and then we had a little bit of play time before we all went our separate ways. I had to be back at 12pm because Nani Claire was coming for a visit. Here is a video of Sofia playing with Sammy
When we got home I put Sofia to bed, but she was tired and started crying. I knew it could be awhile and possibly risking her getting over tired if she didn’t fall asleep soon so I decided to nurse her. She fell asleep, but then Pablo woke her up with his barking. Nani Claire was here, and I realised I had forgot to leave the door unlocked for her to get in… so I got out (whilst Sofia screamed in the background) and let her in. I apologised and went back in to Sofia. I nursed her again, and once again she fell asleep. As soon as I put her down in bed however, she woke up! So… I ended up going in and out for a long time whilst Nani Claire was waiting patiently and making lunch for us. After about 2 hours I finally got Sofia sleeping, and she slept for 1.5 hours. In the mean time Nani Claire had made us banana splits – yummy – and we had a nice chat :). She had brought a quilt and a little pillow for Sofia – just beautiful colours and cute bird pattern. When Sofia woke up she got to try them out – and she loved them! :). They spent some quality time together until it was time for Sofia’s dinner and Nani Claire went home. Here is a video of Sofia getting excited about the jolly jumper. So funny it was like Pablo when put over water… legs going like crazy :).
After dinner Mike came home and we played a bit with Sofia. She started cruising… She grabbed onto the ‘crate’ and went a few steps to the right – moving hands and feet… She fell backwards again (this time on the quilt Nani Claire had made – so it was a bit softer at least) and cried for a bit, BUT straight away she reached for the bars again… so she had another go before bedtime. I’m so proud of my little girl. That was the right attitude – straight back on the ‘horse’ :)).
When we put her to bed she would not stop crying and I had to go back in. She was pretty much asleep when I tried leaving the room, but I bumped the ‘gate’ and the noise woke her up and made her cry again. Aaaaaaaah!!! So I went back in … and I stayed there until she was fully asleep (she kept waking up and making sure I was still there). It took about 40minutes. I am very tired and exhausted…. now it’s time for bed. I hope Sofia has a good night sleep.

It want take too long and Sofia will pull herself up, that is what I am thinking. She is strong and it looks, she is also determined, great girl. -:)
