Today someone came at 10am to pick up a humidifier that we currently no longer need because we have no mould in this house. A couple from Harvey Bay drove her to get it and decided to make a day of it, kids waiting in the car. As I am showing them the humidifier the wife says; ‘how far along are you?’, to which I replied; ‘huh?’. She looks at my ‘bump’ and says (whilst pointing at it!); ‘well, you’re pregnant?’. The husband jumped in ‘no, no, no’ at the same time as I said; ‘no, but I have a 4,5 month old’. I should have said I have a 3 week old, then she would have felt bad lol. What a bitch!!! ha ha ha. Great and effective insult though, guess it’s time to start firming up before I end up like that permanently…
I decided afterwards that I would take Sofia shopping for clothes, but I couldn’t find one store up the main street that carried baby clothes. Kids clothes yes, but not baby clothes. That is there was a really cute one with matching stretchy pants, but it’s main colour was orange so I left it… Sofia was getting impatient – and she has now a new babble… a complaint babble – soooo cute! I know now that when I hear it I have about 1-2 minutes before she starts crying.
Getting back, my sweet girl was tired and she went down well. However, she woke up after about 40 minutes or so probably because she was tired and not in her sleeping bag. I fed her and put her back down and she slept for another 1,5 hours so I thought maybe she was awake and good again. Turns out just 20 minutes she started rubbing her eyes and yawning… I had started putting a dress on her when she was on her tummy (as she always is these days) when loud noises where coming from her nappy. I got one arm in and as I grabbed her second arm I saw poo pouring out of her nappy around the waist. She put her arm in it before I could react and smeared it on the mattress. Very happy I decided to do this in her bed ha ha. So I had to quickly get the dress back off and wash her down. The other mattress covers where still wet so I tried to get her comfortable on the sofa for a nap, but was there ‘attacked’ by Pablo refusing to leave her alone. Next I tried to get her comfortable in our bed, and there she was very comfortable – oh and talkative like nothing before. I answered and we had a really nice looooooooong chat. I asked her where her nose was and grabbed her nose (we have done this a few times now), then I asked where my nose was and used her hand to grab my nose. Then when I asked her where my nose was again (and got close with my face) she grabbed my nose! She properly grabbed it – and one more time :))
I decided to get her ready for night time as she just started rubbing her eyes more and more and started getting cranky. It was 1,5 hours early… but by the time she fell asleep it was just an hour early.
