It’s swimming again today. I was a little bit worried how we’d go because she has been so tired lately. I woke her at 7am again and managed to put her down for a sleep and she woke herself, but for not as long as I would have hoped. We went 10 minutes early and stopped by the post office to pick up the new carrier (kango pouch from South Africa). Sofia finally flashed some smiles at me at swimming, but mostly she was flirting with the other baby’s mum – soooo cute. The teacher saw how Sofia was reacting getting her mouth close to the water, and asked what she’d do if her mouth went under water… so I said; ‘try’, and she did… Sofia blew out in the water! Then the teacher put her under water till her eyes and she closed them! No crying or anything… Sofia will be a great swimmer I recon! That’s my girl! I’m such a proud mum.
Sofia was sooo tired, but she did not fall asleep in the car this time. She fell asleep fairly quickly on the boob though, so she woke up pretty quickly as well. I just fed her and put her back to sleep and she slept for 1,5 hours.
Tried the carrier on when she woke up. I love it! She seemed to love it too. We had a dance and some fun in front of the mirror, and then I blew some bobbles with both my kids (yes Pablo in included ;)) in the back yard.

That’s what I call fun, good on you Mona. Tremendous job, nearly new born and dog.!!!
The swimming is a great project, she might feel being back where she came from, no worries, swimming with eyes wide open was her earliest knowledge before being born…..what do you think?

Definitely! That’s why it’s good to do it so early while they still have their reflexes… Keep working with those reflexes and she will be swimming in no time 🙂
