Sofia woke up at about 6.15am. We had brekky and had a play. Sofia started showing tired signs just before 9am so I put her to bed thinking she might get 20min. She was looking like she’d fall asleep the first couple of minutes but then started tossing and turning, so after 15min I went back in and got her. I gave her a snack and got us ready for the first class with music today. There were 3 familiar kid faces (and their mums) and a couple of new ones. Sofia LOVED it! She was sharing the instruments and putting everything away afterwards. During story time she went up to the teacher (who was reading) and sat down in her lap (thumb in mouth and cuddling). It was soooo cute to watch. The teacher was so moved and thanked me during and afterwards. She said it was clear Sofia loved books and that she’s used to sitting on the lap for a cuddle whilst being read to. Afterwards we went straight home. Sofia had a snack and then I put her to bed. She slept for less than an hour! I couldn’t believe it! I was hoping that this time she’d sleep longer, so I didn’t go in… I was hoping she’d go back to sleep. However, after almost 40minutes she was still awake! I thought; ‘how’s the possible???’ and went to get her. Turned out she’d filled her nappy. Poor sweet girl! She never cried, but I still felt horrible :(. Next time I’m not waiting to see if she’ll fall back asleep – even if she’s only slept for an hour.
When I got Sofia back up we played for awhile and had some more snacks. Then I took Sofia and Pablo to the park. There were no dogs there for Pablo to run around with poor thing, but he still had fun I think. He was just happy to be out. When we got back I just had time to get dinner ready for Sofia. Thankfully Nani Claire had already made beautiful vegetables so all I needed was to fry up some meat etc. Sofia enjoyed her food. Afterwards it was time for bath and bed. Since she’d only slept for an hour I put her to bed an hour earlier. As I had put her to bed and walked out of her room Mike got home, and then Claire.

True, Sofia carried her full nappy around and said nothing. One just smelled it sometimes, but better still, was Pablo, when you saw him sniffing around Sofia, then you had to check the nappy and Lo and behold, it was truly full. Well, well, well, that is what dogs do, they sniff everywhere and everything…….-:)

She loves the books – just like her mother (and I am sure Mike also was a reader)
