When Mike and I woke up at about 6.20am I could see that Sofia was awake. She had not made a sound however. We got her together and then I made brekky for us. Afterwards Mike took Pablo for a walk and I took Sofia to mothers group at bells reach playground. Sofia had a great time and so did I… You don’t really get a good chance to talk to the girls much, but you do manage a short exchange here and there 🙂 and that is so important. By the time we got home it was almost 11am. Sofia had a snack and a cuddle with daddy and then it was straight to bed. She was showing me she was in pain with her teeth so I gave her some pain relief before I left.
Sofia ended up sleeping for almost 3 hours! We had to wake her up (which felt especially awful because she woke with a grimace and almost cried for a few minutes) because we were going to Nani Claire’s for a late lunch. Well it ended up being a very late lunch. It was a very nice lunch however – thank you Claire! Afterwards Mike helped out with a few things whilst I played with Sofia. When we left we swung by a cake place to buy a birthday cake for a friend. It’s her birthday today so we dropped by their place to say happy birthday and to hand over the cake. I told her I’d be happy to babysit on Saturday if they wanted to go out for dinner. She was happy with the idea so that’s what we’re doing :). We only stayed for about 10minutes before we headed home.
We had also bought a roasted chicken and vegetables on the way so when we got home I just played up and Sofia and I ate whilst Mike had to make some calls etc. Afterwards it was bath time and bedtime. Sofia was tired and didn’t protest.
Sofia is repeating a lot of words being said right now. So cute. I’m loving it, but I’m also realising it’s time to be extra careful about what I’m saying around here. Another word she loves now is tunnel.
