Sofia was up at 5.50am this morning, and we all went for a walk. Pablo was happy with that although he gave us a real fright when he was walking with us off lead – saw two dogs on the other side of the road and decided to run towards them. We might have to re-think taking him off lead in that area… He did stop when we told him to though, which is good… but still gave us a fright.
When Mike left we waved goodbye, and Sofia did a little mini wave! Not sure if it was on purpose, but Mike and I got very excited 🙂
Sofia had a long nap so we got to mothers group a bit late – again. At least everyone there is very understanding and someone is always late he he. She got tired pretty quick, but could not sleep. I couldn’t even get her to fall asleep on the boob like she normally does on these outings. It seems to be the only way I can get her to fall asleep when we are not home, but now not even that worked! So… I had to leave the girls after awhile and get her home to bed.
Sofia only had a short nap, and the next nap was short… and she just got more and more tired. She was soooo active trying to crawl however. We have also been practicing sitting the last couple of days – and today was the first day she’s leaned forward and grabbed a toy I had placed between her feet. Before that she’s been leaning backwards into me and her legs pounding on the poor toy… So a would say a bit of a breakthrough. Sofia also turned the pages when I was reading to her and saying; ‘do you want to turn the page?’.
No problem getting her to sleep after the bedtime routine, even though she was sooo tired, so I am happy with that. Poor little girl. According to the book it’s ‘only’ 12 days left of the fussy period, with the last 7 days being the worst.

Pablo is a good boy 🙂
And Sofia will be ok in a while. Patient, mother 😉
