Mike woke me up as he was leaving for Melbourne to support his sister Trish. She’s had a really rough week. Mike will be returning on Sunday. I managed to sleep for another 10minutes… and got a few minutes for myself before Sofia woke up just before 7am. Then Nani Claire was up and had started brekky. She told me very good news. After brekky we went to the closest playground. It’s very small but Sofia can almost walk there. Nani came with and brought Pablo. Both Pablo and Sofia went down the slide on my lap. Sofia went down the slide on her own as well. After climbing up the stairs quite a few times Sofia all of a sudden sat down and then lent back and before I knew it she went back down towards the ground and feet up. I stretched out the grab her foot, but was blocked by the iron pole. I was horrified! Sofia cried, but I think she was more in shock and possibly my reaction to it as well. Thank goodness the ground is full of bark and it had been raining so it wasn’t rock hard. When we got back Sofia very snotty and looked sooo tired (plus was rubbing her eyes) at 9.30 so I put her to bed. Sofia slept for about 1.5hours.
When Sofia woke up she had a snack and then Nani came with us for a drive. We went to baby bunting because I had seen there was a clearance sale – turns out that was only true for 2-3 things! Claire got Sofia a bath toy… Sofia charmed the socks off us when she had picked it out and given it to us! I know it’s probably not a good thing to teach her, but it’s the first time she’s done it… I also bought her a hat as her old favourite is too small now. Afterwards we went to Spotlight and I bought drawing paper for her desk – and a black board roll and egg chalks. When we got back she had something to eat and drink and then to bed. Thankfully she managed to fall asleep.
I had to wake her up at 4.15 – she’d almost slept for an hour. Sofia had a snack. Nani started making dinner. I played with Sofia for a bit, but she seemed to prefer me to stay out of it ha ha. I fried up some fish fingers and we reheated some leftovers. Sofia had at least 3 fish fingers! I hope she had more than the two pasta pieces I saw she ate and that she had some veggies because her meal ended when she started throwing food on the floor with a defiant look on her face after I told her not to. Then it was bath time and bed time. It took her 50minutes to fall asleep! I knew sleeping till 4pm was too late, but she wouldn’t have lasted till 6pm.
