Sofia only got 15-20 minutes sleep before mothers group. She still charms everyone by making eye contact, flashing big smiles and cooing. They call her a social butterfly! That’s my girl
When we arrived she couldn’t eat for 45 minutes because she was just too excited to be there. She was on her tummy for a long time – with her little arms and legs going. She is still getting on great with Oliver – they shared a blanket today as I forgot mine at home (there’s always something I forget). Sofia got sooo tired during the meeting, but just didn’t want to sleep. Even Lisa (the group coordinator) tried to get her sleeping, but no such luck. I had to put her back on the boob and rock her until finally she slept. We stayed for another 30 minutes until she woke up again.
When we got back home I fed her properly again and put her down for a nap as she was still very tired. Think I underestimated how tired however, as she slept for nearly 3 hours. Why didn’t I try and sleep? I was sure she’d wake up hungry a lot sooner…
When we had a bit of a play later, I laid down next to her, and she reached out and started touching my face. She was being very gentle, pinching my cheeks and stroking my face. Sooo cute!
Then at bath time she did the same with Mike and I feel like I could see his heart melt even more. It was just beautiful to watch.
