Sofia woke up at 5.30, but put herself back to sleep and woke up again at 6.15am. Mike and I both went in to say good morning and HAPPY BIRTHDAY! Then we facetime’d with Mormor Jette whilst we opened presents from everyone back home. We also made a few videos for Erik, Nils and Arjan. Afterwards we had breakfast and then Mike left to get a signature on a contract and to do shopping for the BBQ later. I put Sofia down for her morning nap. Then I started preparing for the cake so that when she woke up I could mix it all together quickly.
Nani Claire arrived at 10am and helped by taking care of Sofia. Sofia got more presents and Nani played with her so I got the cake ready. I also got the frosting ready. Then Sofia was so tired and she was also missing me, so I ready a book and we cuddled for a bit before I put her down for her afternoon nap. Mike got back with the shopping and made salads… and cut the cake into a 1. Then I put the frosting on and Mike decorated. Then Mike left with all the stuff and set up at the beach.
When Sofia woke up we got ready with Nani and got the cake etc into the car and drove off. Mike had managed to get a great place with a couple of tables under a roof so we had good shade. Maja, Shane and Tian came, Kaylene, Will and Andrew came, Mark and Majella came and Anthony came. It was all a nice time. I hope they all enjoyed themselves. Sofia loved the attention and played with the plastic from one of the presents instead of the presents ha ha. She walked 4-5 steps from Mike to me! She’s getting more confident. She got a lot if nice presents today. She had cheese and beef stakes. She got a strip to suck on, but ended up putting the whole thing in her mouth so Mike tried to get it back out. Sofia started proper crying and then had some trouble stopping. I had to get her laughing – she was very upset. She had some cake and she seemed to really enjoy it ha ha. So funny to watch. Then it got colder and late… so people started leaving and we packed up and left too. When we got back Sofia had another piece of cake and then a bath before we put her to bed. We tried to reach Morfar Erik, Nils and Arjan to say thank you for the nice presents but there wasn’t a lot of time I between so we’ll try again tomorrow.

It was an absolutely wonderful day. The little princess did not even know what the fuss was all about, but the balloons, the cake, the food, all was so great, and of course the weather too. Thank you for a lovely day…….. Sofia and crew…..-:)
