Sofia woke up with a short cry at about 6.30am. I got her, we cuddled and had brekky together. I told her daddy would be taking her to Gymbaroo today, and that later she’d be going to her Nani for a few hours. She seemed ok with it. Then I got everything ready for Mike to take Sofia to Gymbaroo. She just got in the car and waved nicely to me – I just love her so much :). I had in mind to walk the dog and go grocery shopping whilst they were gone, but I had forgotten to take my wallet out of ‘the Sofia bag’ that of course went with them to Gymbaroo. Instead I walked and bathed the dog and did a bit of housework. When Mike got back with Sofia she’d fallen asleep in the car the last 5minutes, and she was not keen to go to bed when she woke up when daddy got her out of the car… so I heated up leftovers and she had an early lunch. Afterwards she went down for her nap, but it took her awhile to fall asleep. Mike left to help Nani with a few things at the new house. Among other things she’d bought a cubby house with table and chairs for Sofia to play with when she visits :).
When Sofia woke up just before 2pm she’d had almost 2.5 hours sleep. I told her we’d be going to Nani and that they would play. She seemed keen on the idea. Sofia had something to eat and drink, we cuddled whilst reading a book and then we packed a few toys etc to bring. When we got there I helped put together the table and chairs – they were sooooo cute! Then Mike got there with the cubby house before taking off to get the grass… I took off at that point so I could get something done as well. Sofia clung to me and didn’t want me to leave. So tough to leave :(. I know she’s fine as soon as I leave however, so I do my best not to drag it out but to give her a kiss and wave as I walk away – saying I’ll see her soon.
I stopped to do the grocery shopping on the way home. When I got home I unpacked the last box we had standing in the house (not including the garage) and did some more housework before starting cooking. Then I realise I am about 15-30min late with the cooking. Mike ended up driving Sofia home – thank you hunny.
Sofia and I cuddled a bit whilst cooking, but she was soooo good. Think she understands a bit better that I need both hands a lot of the time when I’m cooking… She was playing by herself and just stopping by every now and then :).
I had dinner ready a bit passed 6pm. Sofia had a bit to eat before she threw a whole fistful on the floor. It was on purpose and I think meant for Pablo. Mike and I told her no, that we don’t throw food in the floor. If she throws food on the floor then there is no more food for Sofia. She just had to do it again I suppose, so we got her off her chair and straight to the bath.
Sofia whinged and clung on to me like it was going to be a repeat of last nights cries, but it didn’t happen :). Mike didn’t want to upset her by holding her, but she cried for the first 5seconds with me too because she didn’t want to go to sleep. Then she realised she’d miss out on daddy cuddles and she dove in towards his arms. Soooooo cute! The she was ok with me putting her into the bed, she just got on with it and went to sleep :).
