Sofia woke up about 5.45am, but I really wanted to give the sheep a proper go so I didn’t go in until 6.13am (so I was there when the sheep woke up at 6.15am). We got dressed and we all had brekky. Mike was home today – yay! Afterwards I got everything ready for Mike to take Sofia to swimming (even putting Sofia in her swimming cosy). They got in the car and left – and I got ready to go grocery shopping when Mike called me. Because it was a public holiday it was closed!!! Sofia was really crying poor thing :(.
They got home and I felt really bad. I should have known as Mike had told me earlier it was a public holiday. I apologised to Sofia and we all went shopping. Sofia got some new clothes and we got a few things, plus Mike did a super quick grocery shop.
When we got back Sofia had a snack before her nap. She slept for about 2 hours before waking up with a proper cry. Maybe she had a bad dream? After consoling her we packed a few things and left for the Maleny Show. It was a lot of fun. Lots to look at. Sofia was amazed and continuously looking around. The highlight was definitely feeding and petting some farm animals. She fed a goat, a sheep and a Shetland pony in addition she petted a chicken – but she was a bit too rough. The chicken was fine but we had to remove him for his own safety. We stayed and had dinner on the go there before driving home.
We got home about 6pm. We had a quick 20min play and said hi to Pablo before bath time and bedtime.
Good thing that we’re getting a toddler bed for Sofia as she has now started to put her leg on the rails to get out… She can’t quite climb it yet, but it won’t be long.

Looks really to have been a great show, especially when dad and daughter came down the slide……-:)
