Sofia woke me up with her babbling. I looked at my watch and thought it said 6.40, so I got Mike to get Sofia whilst I got up. Turns out it was 5.40am! Ever since Pablo got hold of my digital watch I haven’t been able to distinguish between 5 and 6, and also 8 and 9.
We played for a bit until brekky time. I got brekky ready whilst Mike played with Sofia. After brekky Sofia and I played and Mike worked. I worked on Sofia’s cradle cap again. It’s looking better already. Then it was time for her morning nap.
When Sofia woke up we played for a bit. Nani left and after Mike had done some more work we went to have lunch outside. We ordered some food – nice and healthy actually – and sat down in the park. Sofia did not want to sit still and did not want to eat. Maybe too much going on? So Mike and I ate whilst she was running around. Pablo was also with. We then spent some time at the playground before we went home. When we got home I read a couple of books for Sofia before it was time for her afternoon nap.
I had to wake Sofia up at 4pm otherwise she wouldn’t be tired enough at bedtime. We played for a little while before I started dinner. Nani helped me and showed me how to cook the vegetables with lots of spices. I love eating vegetables this way :). Sofia played with Mike in the mean time. She grabbed her back, threw it over her shoulder and came into the kitchen to say; ‘bye bye’. Soooooo cute! She’s clearly copying Mike when he’s leaving in the morning. She’s done it a couple of times, but it only just occurred to us that that is what she’s doing. She’s screaming for ‘mer’ (meaning; more) around dinner time these days, so Nani Claire gave her some corn while waiting for dinner. Once dinner was done she only had a few mouthfuls and then was done. She was saying ‘mer’, but as soon as I handed her more she refused it… Just weird. I really hope she doesn’t wake up in the middle of the night screaming for food. I can’t force her to eat so I let her go. I could have done what I did last night and given her something else (she did eat quite a bit more yesterday when I did that), but I feel I can see a pattern developing. Besides… she’s big enough now not to starve to death if she skips a meal. So… I gave her a bath and put her to bed.
