Sofia woke up a bit after 6am this morning. We cuddled and watched a couple of YouTube clips in bed before I made her brekky before 7. Mike got up and fed her so I could shower – yay! Nani had gone to her new house as the furniture were delivered today. Afterwards I took the dog for a quick walk/run/ hide and seek in the park. When we got back Mike left for work and Sofia and I had a play before I started getting the house presentable for the inspection later today. After a vacuum we went shopping for a few huge bags etc to pack in. When we got back it was time for a snack and then to bed.
Sofia slept for 1.5 hours. I wished it would have been longer because I didn’t get much packing done, so I tried to keep going a bit… Sofia actually took it quite well after a bit. I got a bit done and she came to me for beautiful cuddles in between playing. Then Nani dropped by to clean her room but there was not much time before the inspection so we got everyone in the car. Nani came with us, which was nice… We went to Moffat beach. Pablo got to run on the beach thanks to Nani and Sofia played a bit on the playground. Then we all went for a walk. Although 5 minutes into walking I looked at my phone and realised I had got a voicemail whilst I was cleaning and forgot about it (it never rang :(). It was from the real-estate people saying the woman had cancelled so they weren’t coming. Bah.., so much stress for nothing.
When we got back I realised I hadn’t thought of dinner for Sofia. Nani was fantastic and really helped me out. There wasn’t a lot of time to make something, but Sofia loved the omelette made with pork, spinach and Parmesan. Afterwards I picked up Sofia and realised she’d seriously filled her nappy (plus it was wet) to the extent that it had started oosing out of the nappy and got her skirt wet. I thought it was food at first – imagine my surprise… So it was then to clean and scrub everything – even her seat.
Then it was time for her bath and Mike got home so we went through the nighttime routine together. Nani left for her new home. It felt kind if strange thinking she won’t be here when we wake up. I’m sure she’ll be very happy in her new home however, and so will we when we move.

I remember that day when the real estate had cancelled…….. there was soooo much going on and, yes, I now moved into my own place again.
Thank you Mona and Michael and Sofia for a great time, I shall miss you all, I’m sure of that. For the start I will be so very much occupied to getting settled, running around organising…. etc.
Thank you Jette for your good wishes. So far so good……I love it but there is still a lot to do that I truly can call it “home”. Jette and Eric, your daughter does such a beautiful job with our granddaughter, it is a joy to watch. And Michael, I must also say, he is a great Dad, helping where he can and he loves it.
With much love to you both from Claire

They were lucky to have you. Soon you will visit again – and little by little – it´s your home.
They are so good to each other. So nice to hear and know when you are so far away. I know my daughter could not have found any better husband and daughter 🙂
Fun to look back. Not THAT many years ago my daughter should not have kids – because “she did not know what to do with them” Now it is good to see – she knows 😉
