Sofia woke up another time, and I went in and resettled her. Then she woke up again at about 2am and I put her in bed with us. She went to sleep, but was very close to me. Her hand continuously in my face. I didn’t want to move and wake her, so I didn’t sleep much. Mike left at 6am and Sofia slept till 6.30am…
Sofia opened her eyes and just bounced out of bed – telling me to get up he he. I was sooooo tired! I got up after a few minutes and made brekky. It was so cold! I decided to wait until it gets warmer to walk Pablo as Sofia is still snotty and has a cough. Instead I took Sofia to Bubs at Kawana to get a mattress for her bed. I thought I’d have to get a mattress that was 8cm shorter than the bed because the bed is European size and all the mattresses here are shorter. However, it turned out that they had a mattress that fitted perfectly! They let me buy the only one they had (on display). When we got back she had a snack (she only wanted an up-and-go) and played for a bit whilst I got the rest of the bed ready and made the bed. It was passed Sofia’s bedtime so I got her ready and put her in the new bed. Sofia seemed happy with the bed, but once I left the room she was crying and banging on the door. I tried once to put her back into the new bed, with the same result, so I put her in the old bed instead. She was pretty over tired and struggling at that stage so it took awhile for her to calm down and find her sleep. I had to go in once more…
Sofia slept for a little less than 1.5 hours. We had a snack, had a short play and then started watching a movie. Nani Claire came over because I asked. She watched the movie with Sofia whilst I went shopping for groceries. When I got back we talked for a bit and then Nani went home. I had asked what Nani thought of maybe having Sofia over for a couple of hours the same day every week and she loved the idea. Great for me as well as I’ll have a chance to get a lot more done.
Then Sofia and I took Pablo for a walk. Afterwards I got dinner ready and Mike got home so we all ate together. Sofia didn’t like prawns or the rice (she normally likes rice – just not the same brand etc) so she didn’t eat much and then started throwing her food on the floor after being warned so we took the food away. Hopefully she won’t be too hungry. Then it was time for bath and bed. We decided to try the new bed again. She got up (fell out of bed with the duvet he he). Mike went in and got her back into bed. She got straight back up, crying and banging on the door. I went in and stayed until she was asleep. Hopefully she’ll have a good night in the new bed.
Sofia woke up with a little cry just before 11pm. She sat up and looked around, and then climbed down from the bed and started crying… Mike went in and stayed with her until she fell asleep.
