Sofia woke up at 11pm and took awhile to settle. Then the dog woke me up at 3am to get some water! He has started doing that some nights, but usually he does it during one of the times I get up with Sofia – not this time though! Then Sofia was whinging every 20min or so from 4am to 5am so I got up once again, and then finally at 7.15am. We read some books and then I prepared breakfast. After that we had a bit of a play before Sofia’s morning nap.
Mike made us breakfast and after we ate I went to have a nap as well. However, this time Sofia only slept for 20min so I didn’t get any sleep. Mike entertained Sofia whilst I had a shower, and the Nani Claire came for a visit. Sofia was instantly squealing and ‘talking’, she just loves company and attention :).
Then when Sofia had her second nap we had lunch that Nani Claire had brought – thank you Claire – it was lovely! We even had our favourite banana split :). Sofia slept for 1.5 hours and then we had some more playtime. She had an afternoon nap at 4pm and I made dinner whilst Mike and Claire went for a walk with Pablo. When they got back Claire went home as Sofia was still sleeping. When Sofia woke up she had chicken, peaches and rice. She seemed to really like it :). Then we started the bedtime routine… She had a hard time falling asleep (and we realised she’d only been awake for 1.5 by the time we put her to bed, but too late at that stage poor little girl). She was crying so I went in to help, but nothing I did seemed to work for her… I nursed her and rocked her and put her back down. She didn’t cry, but it took her about 30 minutes to fall asleep again. I really hope she has a good night.
