Mike and I have our 4 year anniversary.
Sofia up at midnight really hungry (so I was right about my hunch that she didn’t get enough yesterday) and also gave a little babble at 5.30am, but it wasn’t a cry so I let her fall back asleep till 6.50am. Whenever she wakes up these days she does something like this: Morning routine. After a feed we went on a family walk.
When she woke up we went to the library to swap the books for some new ones. There was heaps of kids there. Whilst we were picking out books a boy about 4-5 years old came over and asked; “can I hurt your baby?”. I didn’t believe what I heard and answered; “yes it’s a baby”. He kept touching her on the head and face and had a weird look on his face. Mum comes over, apologises and says he’s going through some stuff. He keeps saying her wants to hurt her, then grabs her arm and starts twisting. I grab her arm away from him and went; “heeey!”. Mum is just saying oh don’t do that. Afterwards drags him off saying; “that’s disgusting!”. That is the weirdest thing I have ever experienced. The boy didn’t hurt Sofia – she never even stopped smiling, but that boy! That mum?! Oh boy – how are you supposed to react to something like that?
After the next nap I tried to feed her out in the lounge and then put her down for a nap. She would not have it and refused to sleep – she started complaining and ended up screaming. She was indicating that she wanted boob, but when I tried giving it to her she was screaming into them. I had to leave the room and let her scream for 2 min before I went back in because nothing worked :(. Same thing happened going back in, but managed to calm her down long enough to get a boob out and she fed until she was sleeping. I really need to knock this habit as it’s getting out of hand, but right now she’s going through major brain development again, so I will not push it too hard until that’s over.
She had a hard time putting herself to sleep after the bed routine, but she did it.
Mike and I ordered food and lit some candles. Now some grown up relaxing time 🙂

Congratulation to your 4th anniversary .
That is a weird thing with that boy, I wonder how old he was and what he experienced in his young life.
