Today all the girls (9) from mothers group had decided to meet up – every wednesday from now on 🙂
Some of the girls brought fruit and some brought cake – I really felt bad I hadn’t brought anything. As usual Sofia has issues falling asleep when we are out and about, but I did get 15 minutes out of her when most of the girls started leaving… good timing… he he.
As soon as we got home I fed her and put her to sleep… She slept for nearly 3 hours! Then when she woke up we played together and I let her lick a melon. Hmmmm… doesn’t seem to be much of a reaction, but more now than when I let her lick a grape yesterday. Apparently it takes 8 times before babies will enjoy/like the food you are presenting, so… I’m in no hurry however, unless she is starting to be unsatisfied with my milk etc I will keep breastfeeding exclusively until 6 months.
Then when it was cool enough (and sun not so strong) I took Sofia and Pablo for a walk with the pram. It could have gone better, but I guess it also could have gone worse… Pablo was pulling like an idiot every time we saw a dog. Sofia was too tired and started crying halfway, and I had to put her in the carrier. So I had her in the carrier, pushed the pram and Pablo was pulling to go sniff everywhere. We did make it home however, so all in all a good trip.
Sofia was sooooo tired, but also very hungry as it turns out. She fed well of one boob, but then fell asleep pretty quick so I just gave her a quick wash, massage without oil (with singlet and nappy on), put her in the night sleeping bag – all whilst her constantly turned over and put her finger in her mouth to go to sleep. Then I gave her the other boob, but by now she seemed awake so she fed well on this one too, got sleepy and… Success I thought… but then all of a sudden pulled up and looked at me and let out this monstrous burp even Mike would have been proud of. The smiled and tried to have a conversation ha ha. I sang the good night songs and put her to bed and she just rolled over quietly and tried to get to sleep. It took her a good 20 minutes, but without really complaining much – very proud because she was over-tired and awake, which is usually not a great combination 😉

I had to laugh when I read about Pablo pulling etc, I could just imagine the picture….. It will only come better, so every good thing needs time……. The intent is always that counts, and the intent is always positive, so I understand. You wanted both to be happy on a walk…….
