Sofia woke up crying at around 1am. Mike went in and cuddled her on the bed for 15-20min. When he put her down she was still awake, but she didn’t protest and went back to sleep.
Alarm went off at 6am, and not long after Sofia woke up. We took turns having a shower and pack the rest of our things (which didn’t take long as we’d done well the night before). We took a taxi to the airport.
Sofia did well on the plane on the way back as well. The plane was a bit delayed however, but Sofia still didn’t fall asleep. We were happy as we thought she’d fall asleep on the car ride home, but that only happened about 15min from home… and she coughed that much in her sleep that she woke herself up and then was awake for the rest of the ride. We got her to bed as quickly as we could when we got back, but she absolutely refused. We were super tired as well, but that didn’t help… She was sooooo excited about seeing Pablo again – and he was seriously excited. He kept jumping and I tried as best as I could to calm him down. It took awhile…
I tried to get a bit more sleep whilst Mike was getting work done in the office, but Sofia was hyper and kept getting into the room and jumping on me. The final thing that got me up was Sofia slamming the iPad in my face! It hurt quite a bit, but luckily no bruising.
Sofia was crazy bouncing off the walls with no sleep until Nani Claire came over with delicious vegetables (thank you Claire!). We had dinner together, the Nani went home and we skipped the bath. We just read a couple of books in bed and Sofia fell asleep pretty quickly.
