26 June
Sofia woke up crying at 4am. I took her to bed and she slept there until 6.30am – although the it took her a long time to fall asleep.
When she woke up we all got ready and had brekky before going for a walk through Hyde park and around. Sofia was loving it and we were taking our time. We met a woman (who’s name was Sofia) and her 15month old (who’s name was Isabelle). What are the odds?! On the way back we hit a couple of shops.
At the hotel I put Sofia to bed after a snack whilst Mike did some more shopping. Then I left to meet up with a girlfriend of mine (Stephanie) who I just learned today is 9weeks pregnant. We went to lunch at a Mongolian place. Fantastic food! It was so great to see her – it’s been about 5years since last time!
After lunch we met up with Mike and Sofia so she got to meet them. After a bit Stephanie had to get back to work and Mike, Sofia and I went to a big close by playground (at Darlinghurst). It was fun and Sofia loved it, but her cough just got gradually worse and worse so we went home instead of continuing.
At home we have her cough medicine we’d picked up on the way. We watched a few minutes of finding nemo before we had dinner delivered. I had got Sofia spinach and ricotta ravioli – and luckily she seemed to love it :).
Afterwards we gave her a bath and put her to bed. She was in bed at 7.30 and asleep not long after…
I met up with Curtis at about 8pm. Ingrid was working unfortunately. I was home at the hotel again at 11.30pm. Sofia was crying a bit softly and Mike was in with her when I got home…
Sofia woke up again at about 12-1, and I took her back into our bed. Big mistake. She was just kicking and rolling and getting more and more awake, so at 2am I put her back into her cot.
