Sofia woke up at about 6.15am. Mike had already gone… I got her and we watched a bit of Peppa pig in bed before we got up and had brekky. Pablo was in on the cuddles.
Afterwards we went on our usual walk. Sofia wasn’t as cooperative, but it was still pretty nice. She wanted out of the stroller, but not to walk… she wanted me to carry her. At the playground she seemed to have fun, but only went down the slide twice and didn’t want to climb. She just wanted to play peek-a-boo with me and to pour sand all over herself. So she did that for about 40min and then we went home.
By then it was time for an early lunch and a nap. She cried when I left time – not a lot, but then got out of bed and started playing around. I went back in after 10min and put her back into bed. She cried again, and left the bed again after I had left. I went in one more time after another 10min… It took her awhile to get back into bed and go to sleep – it was close to 12pm.
When Sofia woke up at about 1.15pm she cry/whinged and jumped out of bed. When I came in and suggested she needed more sleep she got ready to fight. She was very clear that she wasn’t going back to bed and that she wanted out. I had to laugh. She did however give me cuddles, and then we left the room together :). It does make me a bit sad as I can see she’s still tired, but what can I do?
Sofia watched a little bit of Frozen whilst I made ‘arme riddere’ (French toast?). She seemed to like it, and for me it was nice because it brought back nice childhood memories :). Afterwards we went to baby bunting to look for a gift for a friends newborn baby girl. I told Sofia what we were doing, but as soon as we got in she was running around looking at everything and touching everything. She got a hold of a ball and was bouncing it around the store. I had to take it away as she kept running towards people. It ended up in a major meltdown. Happy to say it didn’t last very long, but she did her best. She’s getting loud ha ha ha. In the end I placed Sofia in a trolley and she helped me pick out a nice gift.
When we got home Sofia played with a new puzzle I got her whilst I went though her old clothes and picked out quite a few my friend might like for her girl.
Afterwards Sofia watched a bit more Frozen until dinner was reheated. Sofia was almost done eating when daddy got home. She’s started getting really excited when daddy gets home now which I great to see. We even called daddy at work today because she started calling out for him whilst she was on the phone (holding my phone to her ear).
After daddy had dinner as well they played for a bit whilst I cleaned up. Then it was bath time and bedtime. Sofia was so great saying goodnight again, but about 30seconds after Mike had left she cried for 30seconds or so before going to sleep.
When I went into Sofia’s bedroom I found Pablo in her bed!
