Mike left just before 6am and Sofia and I slept until almost 7am. We got up and I made brekky. After brekky I packed up a bag for Sofia and drove her to Nani Claire. We’re going to try and make it a weekly thing :). Sofia seemed happy to go to Nani :). When we got there I spent a short time there before I told Sofia I’d be leaving. She was very happy doing stuff and didn’t mind me going so all in all very good. I even got a nice cuddle and a kiss.
When I got home I had a shower and then took Pablo to the dog beach. He loved it! He seemed so happy :). I felt a bit bad not staying longer than 20min, but I needed to go home and have a rest as well before picking up Sofia. I’m still not feeling well, but my at least there is no more pain in the body :). I stopped quickly to get toothpaste and then Pablo and I had a nice rest.
I picked Sofia up at 10.30am. They were outside when I had parked the car, Sofia saw me, smiled and ran towards me – and gave me the biggest cuddle. Oh that was nice :). Nani had given her an early lunch at 10am so we were all good to go. Sofia was clearly tired but was doing her best to stall when we got home. She had more of a snack and something to drink. Then I changed her nappy and was about to put her into her pj’s when she filled her nappy and I had to change it again ha ha. I read Sofia a story, cuddling her next to the bed. Then I read her another one after she got into bed. Afterwards I said goodnight, kissed her and left. She wasn’t happy with that, but only cried for a few minutes before falling asleep. However, she woke up after less than an hour. I went in and couldn’t smell anything so I tried to get her back to bed. She was getting more and more awake so I left. She was crying, stopped, crying etc. I though I’d give her a bit of time, but she didn’t fall asleep so I went back in and she’d filled her nappy again! Poor girl!
When Sofia got back up she had a snack before she played for awhile, but then she wanted to watch Rio, so we did. Afterwards she played a bit more. I tried to engage her, but she wasn’t that interested. We read a few books and then she was back to playing again.
We had dinner and then Sofia helped cleaning up her toys (for awhile at least). I put the bath on, but it had a yellow/orange colour to it so I told Sofia there would be no bath tonight and showed her why. She didn’t protest. Then I gave her her massage and got her into her pj’s. I was about to read to get when Mike got home so he took over and read instead. Then Sofia got into bed and I read a book in bed, trying to tell her that she can try to sleep whilst I’m reading etc. She did seem to try to relax at least, but then the book ended and she instantly started crying as we were saying goodnight. Sofia kept crying and I went back in to just try and calm her down. However, she was panicked and looked really scared I’d leave again. She was clawing at me to stay and grabbed me arm so tight. I decided to stay. She grabbed me hands and they were both on each side of her face. She started falling asleep very quickly, and was fully asleep within 10minutes.
Sofia woke up crying at about 10pm. I got her, gave her a nice long cuddle and put her back into bed. She was crying when I left… Mike went in after 10min and stayed until he though she was asleep, but she started crying as he left. After another 10min I went in and put her to bed with a nice short cuddle and a kiss goodnight. Sofia cried for a few minutes, but then just started protesting a bit here and there whilst rearranging the pillow and quilt and getting in and out of bed. At about 10.50pm she finally sat down in bed for more than 2seconds, but it didn’t last. I went in a couple more times (11.20pm) and it seemed to work for awhile, but then I had to go in another couple of times at about 2am… After that though she seemed to finally find her sleep. Before that she was just in and out of bed crying and playing with her drawers…
