Sofia was kicking me a lot during the night. She really snuggles up to me, and I didn’t have much to sleep on eventually. Funny how someone so little can take over my whole side like that.
It was 6.30am when we both woke up at the same time. She was ready to get out of bed. I got up with her and got her brekky. She was still not wanting much however. Mike took the dog for a walk and then left for work. Sofia and I watched Rio. Pablo cuddled up nice and close. Sofia was sitting very still for a long time – poor girl still not feeling well. Very snotty and coughing bad still.
We had an early lunch and she was showing many signs she was super tired. I got her to bed, and she seemed happy to be put in the cot… and I stayed with her until she was pretty much asleep. However, it only lasted for about 10minutes before she cried and I had to go back in. I just couldn’t spend about her 20min getting her to sleep for another 10min so I just tucked her in and stroke her hair a few times before leaving. She was shocked and not happy… but it can’t keep going the way it has… It took a bit of crying, and I had to go back in once, but then she calmed down and actually tried to fall asleep again. She slept for a little less than an hour this time. Not great, but better then yesterday.
When Sofia got up she had a bit of a play and we read some books before I got stuck into housework. I’m not feeling the greatest either… Sofia and I watched yet another movie, read more books and had a bit of a lazy play.
Mike finally got home after the longest day in the world… He read a few books with her and she played a bit more whilst I got dinner ready. Once again she didn’t eat much, but still a massive improvement from yesterday. After that it was bath time and then bedtime. I had put her in her cot, but she was not happy and pointed to the new bed. So I got her into the new bed, tucked her in, stroke her hair etc and said goodnight before I left. Sofia looked shocked and then started crying. She was loud for a couple of minutes, but just as I was feeling really bad and prepared to go in she got back into bed (after jumping out) and cried only very short busts a couple more times before falling to sleep. I was so proud she did well.
Sofia woke me up at midnight saying; coming, coming, coming. She’s started doing that when she wants me to come. She did it all day today he he. That’s my response to her when she’s calling me and I’m just finished up something. She’s picking up quick. I made the mistake of going in (she wasn’t crying, and if I’d waited a bit longer I think she would have laid back down). Instead I gave her a cuddle and left. She cried for about a minute, but had got out of the bed. I’m looking at her leaning up against the bed, thumbing away. She finally moved, but to play with the drawers. She started crying and I had to go in. I gave her a cuddle and placed her in bed. I stroke her hair quickly a couple of times and left. She cried for a couple of minutes, jumped out of bed again. This time however she found her way up into bed again after about 5minutes. Hopefully she’ll stay there now. Lesson learned from me; do not go in unless she’s crying!
I had to put Sofia on the naughty chair today. She kept hitting me in the face and I had told her so many times not to as it hurts. This time she just laughed and hit me again with both hands – all whilst still smiling and laughing. I told her it was very naughty and then I put her on the chair. I had read somewhere have then sit for their age in minutes. Sofia didn’t want to sit and she thought it was a game – laughing and having fun. It took me about 15min to get her to sit close enough to 1 minute. Then I hurried and talked to her, but she laughed and hit me again! So I had to spend another couple of minutes putting her back on the chair. She finally looked more serious and stayed for about a minute, then she was about to jump down and I went in. This time she said she was sorry and I got a massive cuddle :). I don’t like this new trend in hitting and kicking though.
