Sofia woke up about 5.50am. Mike was getting ready to leave, so he went in to grab her and say good morning and goodbye. It was still dark outside and I had Sofia handed to me in bed. I put her under the blankets with me. She laid on top of me and watched a few Peppa pig episodes. It was the BEST cuddles! Sooooo nice :). Then we got up and we had brekky. Afterwards we walked Pablo. We hadn’t walked very far when Sofia kicked off her shoes in the stroller and started repeating; ‘walk, walk, walk’. I was so impressed. That’s the first time she’s said that. Pablo managed to get poo on his bum (his own) so I had to use Sofia’s wipes on him. Interesting…. Ehm. We stopped as usual at the playground. She had fun when there was another couple of kids there, and then we had fun playing for a bit before heading home for an early lunch. Sofia was in bed just after 11am and was asleep short time after.
Sofia only slept for 1.5 hours. I could tell she was tired still, but she refused more sleep. When Sofia woke up we had a snack and then I dragged her with me to a baby shop to buy zazu sam sleep trainer. It’s cool. It’s an alarm clock dressed up as a sheep. The sheep has it’s eyes closed when Sofia is supposed to sleep and opens it’s eyes whilst bææhing when it’s time to get up. Google it :).
Afterwards it was already pretty late so I just dropped the sheep off and brought some snacks for Sofia before taking her to the playground at the school where she was dancing at 4pm. We were at the playground about 40min before dancing. Sofia filled her nappy just before we went in, so we were a couple of min late today. Sofia started off really well and followed direction (or tried to) for about 5 minutes and then it just went pear shaped… She was running around doing her own thing. I’ve learnt not to try and get her to follow the others at this stage because it just ends in tantrums and tears – and it’s supposed to bed fun. It looks like she still has fun so…. we’ll keep going (unless that changed).
Afterwards I managed to get her passed the playground (tantrum) and into the car. When we got home it was so many more tantrums. She was soooo tired. I was very glad I kept dinner super simple and only had to use 5-10min… Sofia wanted attention, and she had tantrums when I didn’t understand what she wanted instantly… During a massive tantrum that ended with tears I went to give her a cuddle and she pushed me away – so I walked away. Oh wow, she lost it and really cried. So I turned to her and sat down with my arms out whilst I said; I tried to give you a cuddle but you pushed me away… She then ran to me for a cuddle.
During dinner she started making such a mess (on purpose) that I said if she continued she wouldn’t have any more food. She of course had to test that so I took the food away. She wasn’t happy and cried about that. I had to vacuum up the food and she cried for that. We had a cuddle and then Mike got home.
Sofia had a couple of more meltdowns and then it was so late there was really no time for play. Just bath time and bedtime. I put the sheep on. Should be interesting to see if it works. I don’t think she understood how it works – that is… she didn’t seem interested.
