Sofia woke up at 6.30, so I got her and made brekky. Mike left for work and Sofia and I took Pablo for a long walk. It was one of the better walks, and it’s great to be able to refer to the playground to get the little girl walking in the right direction at least he he. There were another couple of kids at the playground. Sofia was on the swing for a bit, but then she got on the slides a few times before she decided to head back to the swings. She saw another girl on the swing! Wow, not good! Sofia was not happy, and I had to say it was ok. Now it was someone else’s turn. Maybe she could go after… She stood for a bit watching before she went back to the slides. Once again she looked over at the swings and the girl was still there (it hadn’t been long), so we had the same conversation again. We had fun on the slide, then all of a sudden another girl had taken over the swing. Oh my! Sofia was not happy! Pointing, crying and having a little tantrum. She was clearly under the impression that when the first girl got off the swing, that the swing would be hers. She’d been so good waiting too, so I felt really bad for her. I didn’t know how to explain the situation for her, and I hope this experience haven’t ruined how good she’s become at waiting for her turn. We had to get home however, and I had told her that so I hope that saved me a bit. She was crying as we went to the car poor girl. It didn’t last passed getting her into the stroller though. She’s good like that…
When we got home she was super tired. I put on a bit of an DVD for her whilst I prepared a quick lunch. After she’d eaten she had a nap. She only slept for about an hour again. I didn’t have time to do much… I tried getting her to lay down again, but she was very much fighting me so I just gave up and got her back up.
I was so tired and exhausted myself however (even though I’d gone to bed at 9pm and pretty much fallen asleep straight away), so I didn’t have much left in me. Sofia was wanting to watch a DVD or something on YouTube and I knew I needed to get her playing etc. We read books and then I decided to text Nani Claire, because I was losing it – just exhausted. It turned out great as she had time a bit later for Sofia to come over and play. I dropped Sofia over just before 3pm and I finally had a little rest before I got stuck into dinner. It took longer than I had thought however, but I came and got Sofia again just before 5.30pm… When I picked up Sofia she grabbed my hand and dragged me into the cubby house – since it was getting dark I said just that and she said ‘dark’ loud and clear! So much fun with all these new words that are popping out.
Mike was home when we got there. We all ate dinner together – it was so nice :). Then Sofia had Mike running up and down with her walker once – then it my turn and I ran up and down whilst the little girl kept going ‘one more’ with her finger up in the air… Hard to say no, but the 5th time was the last. Then we had two races where she sits in the office chair and gets pushed around the house… Then it was time for bath and bed. Hopefully she’ll have a better night tonight.
Sofia only woke up crying once during the night at about 2am. We had a nice long cuddle… She really clung on so bad it really had to be a long long cuddle… :).

Vanskelig det der med venting og tur. Husker godt situasjoner jeg kunne vært foruten…. Ser nå ut som hun klarte det forholdsvis bra. Neste gang følger hun nok med for å overta med en gang. 😉
