I woke up at about 6.15. Mike had left early again. I managed to wash up quickly, comb my hair and brush my teeth before Sofia woke up. She’d had a rough night coughing up a storm. She didn’t cry though…
When I got her she was once again not wanting me to let go, so we sat in the chair and cuddled for awhile before I was allowed to change her.
We had brekky and then I was going to take her and Pablo for a walk. However, I couldn’t find his lead anywhere. Poor puppy was running around like a crazy dog before he realised it wasn’t going to happen after all. Sofia was still so snotty and the cough was bad so I called and got her a doctors appointment at 9.45am. We had a play, drew on the board, read some books and had a snack before we left.
At the doctor she was running around like crazy. The doc thought she was lively he he. He said there was a upper throat infection, but that everything else seemed fine. When we were about to leave she said NO and tried to get away from me. She really wanted to stay. The doctor picked her up and handed her to me laughing – saying that’s never happened before.
On the way home we stopped at the pet store to get a lead for Pablo. Sofia had quite a few tantrums in there. I realised that it was mostly because she was overtired. I got what I needed, and Sofia got to check out the birds and the fishes. She also picked out a toy for Pablo.
When we got home I made food for Sofia whilst she was playing with Pablo and the new toy – it actually worked quite well (a big ball that gives out treats when it spins). Sofia didn’t eat much and then it was straight to bed.
Sofia slept for about 1.45 hours. She was ready to go when she woke up and nearly bounced off me and into the living area.
After we had a snack and a short play I took both Sofia and Pablo for a walk. We went the long way around and then ended up going through the park near us. So I let them both loose. Sofia walked for a bit and then ended up on the swing. Pablo ran around on the grass and I joined for a minute or so. Sofia was not interested in running in the grass. She kept entertained and date a bit I put her back in the stroller and we went home.
At home we had a short play before I put on a DVD for Sofia before I started on dinner. She came and got me whilst I was frying up everything – I felt so bad – I couldn’t really go, but went for 30-40sec anyway… Then ran back to sort it all out. 5 minutes later Mike was home and we ate together.
Then it was time for Sofia to have a bath and got to bed.
Sofia was trying hard to fall asleep, but couldn’t – got frustrated and called / cried for me. I went in and we cuddled, then I put her back into bed. She grabbed me hand and put it on one side of her face – then the other. She was getting sleepier so I left the room and it didn’t take long after that before she was asleep.
Sofia woke up crying again at around midnight. I was trying to get her back to sleep for about 2 hours…
