Sofia made noises around 3am and I felt I had got colder so I went in and put a blanket around her (she was on top of the doona). She was awake, but it was like she didn’t know I’d been there. She fell asleep with the blanket on top of her.
Sofa then woke up crying at 5am. It was so early still and I was very tired. I cuddled her for awhile, but as soon as I tried to put her down she clung on and cried. I ended up bringing her into bed (Mike never woke up – impressive). I warned her she needed to got to sleep otherwise I’d have to put her back into bed. She tried at first but then started waking up properly so I brought her back to bed – also without protests… She fell back asleep.
Sofia next woke up at about 6.30am. I got her, then Mike made brekky whilst I took Pablo for a walk. I drove to the beach so he could run around with other dogs. He loved it!
When we got back I took over Sofia responsibilities and Mike went to work. Sofia and I watched something, before having a snack, playing and having an early snack.
Sofia woke up crying after less than an hour. I went in and tried to calm her down. I even laid down with her, but she didn’t get to sleep – she didn’t try properly … so I left… She only cried for a few seconds and then fell back asleep for another hour. It was great to see and she seemed much more awake too when I got her again.
Sofia and I read books and played. Then I took Sofia for a walk along the beach. She loved the walk… We started at a playground. It was a little hard to get her passed to get started, but I promised her fun on the way back. She walked / ran very well. She gets lots of smiles with her good nature, laugh and smiles. I could remind her of the playground on the way back and she stayed on track – great :). She had a few goes on the slide and she was on the swing for a long time :).
When we got home I started on dinner so I stuck Sofia on the Sofia watching Frozen. She just absolutely loves Olaf! Just as dinner was done Mike walked in and we all had dinner together.
Afterwards it was bath time and bed time. After I had read a story (as usual), she threw herself at her daddy and stayed cuddling him throughout the songs. Afterwards Mike didn’t want to let her go. I could see he was keen to keep cuddling, however Sofia looked up at him (but singing has stopped???). Then she gave him a big kiss, and then I got a big kiss. I put her to bed. I thought the doona might be too much so I started pushing it aside, but then Sofia started yelling at him. I put it on top of her and she got her arms over the top. She looked sooo happy. Our girl is growing up so quickly now. Sooo cute. I hope she has a much better night tonight.
Sofia has had quite a few mini tantrums today – really silly stuff. One was not letting her throw more food in the floor…
