Mike left early again, but as soon as he left Sofia was awake and cried for me to get in (6am). Her crying rarely happens anymore, so I got in pretty quick. We had to cuddle lots before I could change her. Not complaining about that though, as it’s my favourite thing to do :). I brought her back into bed with me and bribed her to watch something for 20minutes. I then got up and made brekky. Afterwards we all jumped in the car and went to Moffat Beach. Unfortunately for Pablo it was 7.58am already by the time I got Sofia in the carrier and got them both on the beach. However he still got about a 10min run with a couple of dogs. Afterwards I got Sofia into the stroller and we all went for a good walk. Sofia wanted to walk and ended up walking quite a bit of the way. Pablo was let off the lead some places and loved it. It was hard to walk him, push the stroller and make sure Sofia was with us, but it was also quite nice when it all went well :). We didn’t leave Moffat Beach until 9.30, and when we got home they had cut our electricity (work around our streets) so I couldn’t get into the garage. I had to use the front door. It was too late for rhyme time at the library so we stayed at home. Sofia seemed very tired, so after a very early lunch she had her nap.
Since there was no electricity I had to put her bear on for background noise. The sounds is about the same though so it worked out. Sofia slept for 2 hours, and cried for me to come in. She seemed upset so maybe she had a bad dream – could also be teeth. She’s got one molar almost out and there seems to be more on the way. We cuddled for a bit and then we played for a bit. Then it was snack time. Sofia pointed to Pablo sitting nicely away from the table and clapped. She thought he was doing a good job (so cute). I have only in the last week been consistent with not having him at the table as he was just overly annoying.
Sofia played for awhile whilst I got housework done. Afterwards we went to dancing. Sofia ran around and had a great time! I had to run after her a lot. She doesn’t sit still or take direction like most of the others. However, many of them are older then her… When we got out of there there was lots of older kids on the playground so it was hard to get Sofia away from there. Before I knew it she was holding hands with another older girl there (5-6 years old maybe). I let Sofia run around for 15min or so before I had to carry her away. Then she insisted on holding hands with another girls mother and myself to the car.
When we got home Sofia ran around before sitting down amongst the DVDs. I put one on until dinner was done 30min later.
Whilst she was eating dinner daddy came home and had dinner with her. The cuddled for a bit after and then it was time for bath and bed.
At around 9pm Sofia had a few 1second cries over 10min. She seemed like she was having a hard time falling properly back asleep. I thought of going in, but I’m not sure it would have done any good.
Sofia really started crying at about 10.30pm. I went in, but she was desperate for me to stay. I tried to stay until she’d fall asleep, but it was taking sooo long. I said goodnight and thought she’d seen me leave – I made it back to bed before she realised I was gone and lost it… Crying so much :(. I had to go get her and we tried having her sleep in our bed. It hasn’t worked in the past however, and I did not work now. After about 1.5hours I brought her back to her own bed. Strangely enough she didn’t even protest, but I guess she was super tired as well – and unable to sleep with someone else this close.
