Mike went to work early again (early work out beforehand). I got about 20min in bed before Sofia woke up. We had brekky together. I told her we were taking Pablo for a walk and would she prefer the carrier or the stroller. Once again she went for the carrier. I brought a teething rusk this time and she seemed fine with that until we were half way home. Then she suddenly dropped the rest and when I gave her the second one she dropped that too. Pablo got it though :). He had fun on the beach with a couple of dogs. We managed to get almost 20min there before he had to get back on the lead (council regulations). So we walked back home again.
When we got back we played for a bit, had an very early lunch and then went to rhyme time at the library. It was nice to be there again. We only managed to get the last two songs. At the end they said to hug your mum and she didn’t. I grabbed her and hugged her whilst I said hug, hug, hug. She fought me poor thing and I let go. Then I said; can I get a cuddle? She launched back at me and gave me the best cuddle before she started walking away. Then she stopped, looked like she had a think before she launched at me again and gave me a nice big kiss :). It felt so nice :). I talked to a couple of mums and Sofia played a bit with someone but mostly by herself. When we had to leave Sofia didn’t want to and I had to carry her. We had a snack there before we went home.
When we got home Sofia had a snack and a drink before it was off to bed. She hides and runs away every time now that she’s going to bed or I have to change her nappy… Not fun.
Sofia slept for almost 2 hours. When I got her she didn’t seem very hungry so I waited about an hour to give her a snack. We played and read the new books. Twice Sofia had to come back in and I lock her in because she was deliberately throwing sand everywhere. Sofia also helped with the laundry and she wiped down the table and chairs after lunch :). She really wants to help and it’s super cute!
Then it was time to go to music. Getting there and seeing it was empty I realised it was still school holidays – and since it’s at a school… well… I drove to a park, then Mike called and said he’d be late and that I didn’t need to pick him up so we stayed at the park for awhile. Sofia was really running – think she had a lot of pent up energy to get out. When we had to leave she didn’t want to so I had to carry her.
When we got home I made rice and reheated leftovers from yesterday. We had dinner and then it was time for bath. Sofia threw one if the library books in the bath – we will probably have to replace that :(. Then Mike got home and was there for the bath and helped put her to bed. Once again she bit me a couple of times. Once pretty hard! She laughs… Oh dear… The bear was losing it’s light – only lasting for a couple for seconds before turning itself off. So Sofia was screaming and crying when we left. I went in and realised it was the bear. Mike managed to fix it, but Sofia was already sad at that point and wanted us there. I sensed dragging it out was making it worse so we said goodnight again, gave her a kiss, told her it was time for bed and left. She stopped crying pretty quickly thank goodness.
Every time there’s a nappy change, I need to change her clothes, we’re going somewhere or it’s her bedtime she runs and hides underneath something small or behind something – making it hard to reach her.
