Sofia woke me up at about 6.15 and I grabbed her. She’d been whinging a bit during the night, but without waking up… Sofia was not in a good mood – she whinged as she saw me and she clung on to me. Then she wanted to run around, but for me to stay no more than a foot away from her… Hmmm…
I made brekky and Sofia went to wake daddy – only he didn’t wake up ha ha. She was talking to him and then got frustrated as he didn’t respond so she whinged loudly (which also didn’t wake him, but that got me in there with them).. As I tried to get her out if the room he woke up…
Mike then got up and went to work (after getting me a shower). Sofia and I played and had some fun. She was soooo tired however, that I put her to bed at about 9.30 (after another big meal). It took her a bit longer than 30min to fall asleep – I was actually on my way to pick her back up when she was finally falling asleep. She slept for less than 2 hours and woke up just before 12pm so I knew she’d struggle before bedtime.
When Sofia woke up we had a snack and then I took her to get some sand for her new sand and water table. I got sand, but once I’d put it in there it wasn’t pouring through so I knew I had the wrong sand. I had got play sand (for sand pits etc). I took Sofia back (after playing with the wrong one for awhile) to get a more appropriate sand, but they didn’t have anything else. We will have to try something else. She also said the sand is packed really moist so it will pack easier – so it will run through better once it’s dried up a bit. Sofia loved the sand no matter what. We played a bit more and watched a few videos – she was getting very cuddly and tired. Then she filled her nappy and we another big ‘fight’. Afterwards I reheated dinner. Sofia had lots, but she also flung her whole plate with content on the floor! I was not happy. Then she she started smearing the food under the table etc. Afterwards I put her in the bath. When she was done Mike got back so he got to say goodnight and help put her to bed.
Sofia was crying again tonight and the dog was there so I think I was wrong about yesterday. I had to go back in… I thought I could calm her down and stay until she was asleep, but as soon as she started calming down she bounced back to check I was still there – to touch my face etc. I love her, but I knew that wouldn’t work so I left. She cried and I felt awful. At least she got quiet after a couple of minutes and then fell asleep.
