Sofia woke up 3 times after her bedtime last night. The last time was at 5am. I was so tired I just wanted to take her into bed with us. It doesn’t work however, especially because the sun starts getting up at that time and we don’t have working blinds in our bedroom. She then woke up at 7am. I got her and made brekky whilst Mike got ready for work. Then we cuddled, read books and watched some YouTube. I also got a bit of housework done. Sofia had an early lunch at about 11am and were in bed asleep by 11.30am.
When Sofia woke up she’d slept for less than 1.5 hours. I left her for a little while to see if she’d go back to sleep, but she didn’t. So we had a snack and then some more cuddles, reading books etc. Mike got home for about 5min (his last meeting was in the area). Then Sofia ran around playing on her own whilst I started preparing dinner. Mike got home again and took Sofia and Pablo for a walk whilst I finished dinner.
Once again Sofia threw food on the floor – just a few mouthfuls into it. I swear she does it to feed the dog :(. I told her that if she throws food on the floor that there is no more food for Sofia – and of course she had to do it again. However, this time she instantly started squatting around the room – and sure enough she filled her nappy. After Mike changed her I put her back in the chair and she had more food. Just because I’ve seen her do this before if she needs to poo. She had a bit more, but not that much. She had a bath and then we put her to bed after reading a book.
The last few days Sofia really wants to do more and more herself. I am no longer allowed to feed her, except for the very occasional one spoon… She tries to help pulling up her own nappies now and today she wiped herself when daddy changed her poo-nappy. She wiped but not quite getting it, which I think Mike was happy about considering she shoved it in his face afterwards he he. Sofia helps putting away clean dishes from the dish washer. Sofia wants to wipe herself down after a meal and also sometimes the table and chair. It’s so very cute, but sometimes just creating so much extra work. Sofia loves washing her hands, and now she’s even started taking me to our ensuite so that she can flush the toilet and wash her hands.
Sofia gets really frustrated and has small meltdowns every time something doesn’t go her way now.

Det forsvinner nok når hun kan bruke språket. Det er jo frustrerende ikke å bli forstått.
