Sofia woke me up quite a few times with little complaint noises, but didn’t seen to wake up herself until 7am! I got her and made brekky. She went straight for the fridge whilst I was cooking and found the cheese. She handed it over saying; ‘nammi nammi nam’. Which is pretty much what I’ve said every time I’m trying to tell her it’s nice. So funny! It was so loud and clear. Nani Claire and I looked at each other and started laughing. Sofia had a piece of cheese whilst she waited ;). After brekky Mike got up and left for work. Sofia and I went for a walk with Pablo. When we got back Nani Claire had made fritters. Sofia had some, but it was clearly more fun to squeeze them into mush… Then we played for a short while before Sofia’s one nap at 11am. She fell asleep pretty quickly and slept for about 2 hours :).
When Sofia woke up we had a snack. This time she had more of the fritters (with cheese they seemed to go down well). Then we played for a short while before we went to the playground at Moffat to meet Kaylene and Andrew. It was very nice to see them, but looking forward to having a dinner with Kaylene … just us. Will be nice to get a chance to talk :). There was a few kids around that we briefly interacted with. One boy started crying and Sofia took an interest. She’d been given one of Andrews balls to play with so she decided to give that to the little boy. So funny as he lit up, but instead of playing with her he took off with the ball. The mum and the brother made him give it back and then he was back to crying. I think Sofia was quite happy with him having the ball as he was happy. She’s such a sweet kid. I hope she stays that way. I will do my best to make sure that she does. We were there for more than an hour, and towards the end Sofia crawls underneath a picnic table. She steps on her dress, her hand gets caught underneath her and she faceplants on the ground. Poor sweet girl now has a scratched nose and forehead. When we got home Nani Claire had chopped heaps of vegetable so all I had to do was put it together – thank you Claire :). Sofia had a bit to eat and then some yoghurt for dessert again. Mike got home and it was time for bath. Every time is a struggle with brushing teeth. I usually just let her do her thing and then whatever she lets me do. Tonight she hardly brushed so I decided to brush more. I should have just let it go… It wasn’t worth her tears. She doesn’t know… I’ve probably made it worse now. Careful and patient steps from now on. Mike and I put her to bed together. She didn’t protest.
