Sofia woke up at about 6.30am so I got her and made brekky. Then I had a shower whilst Nani Claire watched Sofia. Afterwards Nani Claire, Sofia and I walked Pablo and Mike left for work.
When we got back Sofia and I went to rhyme time at the local library. It wasn’t easy as Sofia just continuously runs away from me, but she had fun. There were so many babies there, and most of them stayed for a play afterwards. A little boy took of with a toy she’d just started playing with. Since I am always trying to tell her not to do that to other kids whilst they are playing with something (and she looked to me as to say; mum, that can’t be right?) I had to do something. So I took it away from the boy when he seemed a bit side tracked and placed it in front of my girl… Not sure if that was the best thing to do, but the boy didn’t cry and the mum came to get him. Two minutes afterwards Sofia was done with it (as I knew she would be) so I gave the toy to the boy and the mum seemed so grateful. Sofia was a bit tired before we left from home and at this stage she was rubbing her eyes like mad – so I got her home. Sofia had lunch and then was put to bed. She only slept for a little less than 1.5 hours, which is not enough and she was still tired. She’d filled her nappy though, and it’s not possible to put her back to bed after changing her nappy…. so I got her back up.
Sofia and I had some lovely food Nani Claire had prepared. Then we played for awhile. At 3.30pm we left to go to a dance class at a primary school. Maja and a couple of her mothers group friends were going as well. It was fun! Definitely easier for kids that are a bit older, because there was a lot of ‘commands’ to understand and execute. Sofia ended up dancing by herself for a little while, stare at the ‘teacher’, and running away with the equipment. All the other kids were sitting nicely when they were supposed to hmmmm. Oh well… Sofia seemed to have fun. We’ll try again a few more times to see if she’s too young or if she’ll pick up a few things.
When we got back I had to quickly heat up some leftovers and give Sofia dinner. Nani was in on the bedtime routine this time as she will put Sofia to bed by herself tomorrow as a trial run before Mike and I have a concert to go to on Saturday. Sofia is that comfortable with Nani at the moment I think it will go well :). Tonight went very well, no protests from Sofia when we left the room and she fell asleep pretty quickly.
