Sofia woke up early, but fell back asleep and woke up again at 6.30am. I got her and made us brekky whilst Mike got ready for work. For the first time yesterday she managed to put food on the spoon herself and eat it. Today she did that successfully a few times. It ends of being quite messy of course, but it’s worth it. You can tell she’s happy and proud of herself. Afterwards I took Pablo and Sofia (on the trike) for a walk. We stopped at the park and Sofia threw the ball for Pablo. She was soooo cute walking around the park. She is really getting the hang of this working thing :). When we got back it was time for her morning nap. She slept for 1.5 hours.
When Sofia woke up we drove to UnderWater World. She has been there a couple of times before, but she got a lot more out of it now. You could see she was enjoying herself and being curious about the fishes etc. AND she was walking/ running everywhere! She didn’t seem to care much where I was ha ha. If I wanted her to go in one direction, she wanted to go in a different one. It was fun though. Great to see she’s getting so good at walking. She struggled a bit with the steep climb up to the first floor, but she did great because she grabbed onto the pram and walked all the way up. I was very proud of her. She did a lot of walking. We had lunch there, but she didn’t eat much – too much going on around her I think – so when we left I gave her the rest and she ate it all. When we got home we had a very short play before she showed me she was tired, so it was time for the afternoon nap.
When Sofia woke up it was 3pm. We had a snack and read a few books and cuddled. Then we played for a bit, until I had to start dinner. When everything was ready and I had just started cooking the gas emptied so there was nothing to do but sit and play with Sofia again. Then I gave her cold dinner (from a bag) poor thing and a few snacks. Then Mike got back from work and got the gas can filled back up so we could at least give Sofia a bath, and by that stage it was time… Afterwards we put her to bed.
She woke up crying at 8pm. I went in picked her up, cuddled for a minute or two and put her back down. It seemed to do the trick.
