Sofia woke up at 1.15am. I went in and gave her a long cuddle before putting her back down. She protested a bit but then seemed to try and fall asleep again. However, 2 minutes later (whilst I was on the toilet) she started crying again. Mike went in, but Sofia would not stop crying. She wanted mummy, so after some pain relief we cuddled and she seemed content like that. She even let me sit down with her like that. After quite a long time of thumb sucking she seemed to actually wake herself up more, so I put her back into bed and left. She cried so much so I went and got her again. This time she fell asleep on me after awhile, and then I put her back into bed. I was in bed again at 2.30am.
Sofia woke up again at 5.55, so I let her wait (she wasn’t crying, but starting to complain) until 6am before going in with huge smiles. After Sofia had a snack Mike watched her whilst I showered and then we swapped. Then Sofia had breakfast at 7.30, because we were leaving for Gymbaroo at 8.00am. The gps took me on quite the adventure! Not sure how, but not where I wanted to go – where it took me last time. Sofia only fell asleep the last 15min, and luckily we’d left home so early that we still managed to get there on time. I parked and let Sofia sleep for 5min, and then she woke up by herself. She was a big groggy and slightly cranky, but that changed quickly. So many more toddlers in this class! Sofia was having a ball! She’s so social – walking up to the toddlers and just staring and staring he he. Afterwards Sofia had a bit of a meltdown when I put her in the car. I gave her a snack and breastmilk and tried again. She cried again, but less like a meltdown. As I knew she was over tired and needed to get home I strapped her in and took off. She only cried whilst I strapped her in and then she was done. She’s such a trooper :). Sofia didn’t fall asleep in the way home, so as soon as we got in the house I put her to bed.
Sofia only slept for 30minutes. When she woke up she had a snack, then we had a play and then lunch before heading off to meet up with Sarah and Ava (from mothers group) at the park. We talked, the girls played and then we went to the playground to the slides etc. We only stayed for an hour and a bit as I needed to get back for Sofia’s afternoon nap. Today that ended up being at 2.30pm.
Once again the little girl only slept for 30minutes. So I got her up and we played and read books till dinner time. Afterwards I went through the nighttime routine and got ready to sing when Mike came in the room. Just in time to say goodnight.
Sofia seemed even a little more confident walking today. She walked for a bit just holding on to one finger a couple of times. Sofia has started getting up to stand on the changing table every time I change a nappy now. She kicks like crazy every time I change a poo nappy because she knows it makes me flustered and it makes her laugh.

Aren’t they gorgeous, the two.? You know, Mona, when you describe the so called “poo-business-stories” , I have to laugh out loud, it’s so cute. Sofia will have a ball, reading it all one day ……-:)
