Sofia woke up at 6am. We played and had breakfast. When I put her down for her morning nap I went to have a shower. Half way through (with conditioner still in my hair) I could hear Sofia cry, so I had to finish up real quick and go in to her. I couldn’t get her back to sleep (she’d only slept for 20min).
Sofia and I played and had lunch. I thought I could get everything packed during Sofia’s afternoon nap, but she only slept for 30min – so after I had eaten there was no time…
I gave Sofia a snack and put her in the playroom whilst I tried to get everything packed for us to go up to Maleny for the night. Sofia wasn’t quite happy to let me do that, so there was several cuddling sessions and a few books being read. Then she’d had enough and got very whingy. I was almost done by that stage however, so we waited for Trish who arrived a few minutes later. Sofia loved the attention and the awesome book and dress she got. The book was the most amazing baby/kid book I have seen. Lots of practical pages where you button a flower, tie a bow, pick apples (Velcro) etc. She’ll enjoy that book for a long time :). Then Trish looked after Sofia whilst I got the rest ready. We packed up the car, dog, baby and all and got going.
By the time we got to Maleny it was getting close to when the dinner started. So instead of stressing out Sofia who had to eat dinner and get to bed, Mike left for the dinner and I got Sofia to bed. Then Trish drove me to the dinner. Sofia had cried a bit when I put her to bed, but she quickly became quiet.
The dinner was alright, but I was not feeling well at all. I had a headache and was nauseas. I just got myself vegetables and a piece if bread and had one piece at the time. An old guy next to me kept talking and it was exhausting. However, eventually I started feeling better and then I got to enjoy myself a bit. At 10pm the dinner ended pretty quickly, and we got a ride with Mark and Majella.
