Sofia woke up with a few whinges at 11pm, but tried to go back to sleep. It was quiet for about 10min… Then she cried. I had forgotten to put a sweater on and I was freezing. After 15min of trying unsuccessfully to get her back to sleep I brought her into our bed. She was quiet and cuddled a few minutes in different positions, but then she got frustrated… and started crying. I brought her back to her own bed and finally managed to leave her sleeping in her room at 12.30am.
As soon as I had got into bed however she started crying again. So I went back… After awhile I got impatient and left. She screamed for a couple of minutes before I went back in. It didn’t seem to do much. She ends up trying to talk to me and get me to pick her up. She wanted boob (and she had just before bedtime as well!), so she had some… but she was wanting to fall asleep that way and it was taking forever. I tried having her fall asleep on me, but it ended up being me who was starting to fall asleep in the chair so I got her back into bed. I stood there for another 20min before I left, but she seemed to wake up again properly. I had to get out of there, sooooooo tired :(. It was 2.15… She started crying again and Mike was going to go in, but she managed to find her sleep after a few min.
Sofia woke up at 6.45am, so Mike and I got up. I read to Sofia, then I had a shower whilst Mike took over. Afterwards Sofia had breakfast whilst Mike and Pablo went for a walk to the shops and bought stuff for breakfast for us. By the time Mike had started cooking Sofia was super tired (she’d been showing tired signs for a little while), so I put her to bed and she fell asleep straight away. Then Mike and I had breakfast. She slept for about 1.5 hours.
When Sofia woke up she had a snack and a play and then we (Mike included) went to swimming lesson. Sofia had a blast as usual – she was smiling and laughing – which was nice to see as she’s been too serious this last week. When we got back Sofia had lunch and then she was very tired so I put her to bed again. This time she slept for 1.45 hours!
When Sofia woke up we went to Baby Bunting. We got some child safety stuff, and of course couldn’t help buying Sofia a walker (with lots of cool gadgets and noises), and a teddy that has a belly that glows and plays music when you touch it. I put the walker together and played with Sofia whilst Mike mowed the lawn. Afterwards Mike went for a walk with Pablo and I fed Sofia dinner. When Mike and Pablo was back we got a bit organised, and facetimed short with Mormor Jette before the nighttime routine. Was so nice to talk to her again. Sofia had been a bit whingy, extra cuddly and chewy so we have her some pain relief. She really cried when we put her to bed and that’s not normal so both Mike and I gave warm cuddles and I stayed with her until she was asleep.
