Sofia woke up at 6am. She is still a bit snotty and have a bit of a cough. In addition she seems to be teething. She can smile and laugh, but is not her usual cheerful self. I think the continuous rain the past few days is getting to her as well. I barely had time to feed her breakfast (7.30) before she started rubbing her eyes like crazy. I thought maybe it was an itch, but she rubbed a few times after breakfast as well. So I got her to bed, but I think I might have been a bit too late, or maybe even it was an itch. She needed help to get to sleep and she only slept for 20minutes.
When she woke up we played as usual before having lunch at 11.30… She was rubbing her eyes a lot again, but she was soooo hungry as well so I wanted her to finish eating. Once she was done I tired putting her to bed, but same thing. She was like the energiser bunny so I got her back out and let her play for awhile longer. I never saw anymore eye rubs however so after almost an hour I tried again. I just left her to try and sleep (after the routine), and she only cried for a couple if minutes before she was asleep. Poor girl, soooo tired. She slept for about 1.5 hours.
When Sofia woke up we had a good time playing and we did it in the living room – and even managed to play with the dog for a little bit. It was quite taxing however to constantly be on alert to catch the dog at the right time and correct him. Sofia helped almost too much ha ha. At one stage she had food in one hand and a toy in the other and kept shoving them both in Pablo’s face. I have to say he did rather well…, but he does seem to go back and try again after a little while. I suppose it’s all new to him so we have to give him time. No walk for him today either with this horrible weather so extra impressed he did so well today.
I fed her and gave her dinner at 5-6pm… and Mike got home as Sofia was having dinner. Then Mike played with her so I got some house work out of the way. At that stage it was time for the nighttime routine. Sofia was getting almost panicky when we got her ready for bed, but then got quiet as I put her down in bed and we left the room. She straight away tried to sleep, but after 5 minutes cried. Poor thing she was struggling to breath properly and kept coughing a bit. I went in and she calmed down after a few minutes and managed to try again and she was asleep within another 5minutes or so.
Here is a couple of videos of Sofia at the window and knocking over a tower.

Well, I must say, I was impressed with Pablo yesterday. He seemed to have learned a lot. Of course, he will try again and again, but it is on us adults to be firm with him until he truly understands what NOT to do. He was so good, I say it again, I was impressed. Good work, Mona, just do not give in or up, and you will win. ……-:)
