Sofia woke up a couple of times during the night, but only whinged a bit before going back to sleep. She woke up at 6am. We had a family cuddle in bed for about 20min… and then I got some house work done whilst Sofia played by herself and Mike went for a walk with the dog and got ready for work. Sofia and I then had breakfast and Mike went to work. Sofia kept rubbing her eyes a lot, but we finished breakfast before I put her to bed. Once again it was a screaming match. I stood there till she fell asleep, but 5min into it she woke up with a jolt all frantic and whinging. So I put her on the boob until she was asleep, then back into bed and waited for 10min… I got about 15min before she woke up crying and refused to go back to sleep. I tried bringing her into bed with me, but she refused to go to sleep even though I could see she was tired. Sooo at 11am I breastfed her and brought her back out to have a play / practice before lunch.
After lunch we got in the car and went to get her measured (74cm) and weighed (8.1kg). Afterwards she fell asleep in the car so I drove around for awhile. Then I decided to drive to Maleny. She slept the whole way…. so I kept driving around until she woke up before parking the car and visiting Mike and Mark at work. At that stage she’d slept for 1.5hours – so I was happy with that :). Nani Claire came to see us as well whilst we were there. Nani and I went for a walk to the coop so I bought some organic food for Sofia. Then she started getting whingy and it was time to go home.
Sofia nearly fell asleep in the car again the last two minutes so I made sure she stayed awake. Once we got home I let Pablo in, but he went out 2min after because he wouldn’t leave Sofia alone and I was trying to make dinner. Then I tried to put Sofia in the playpen, but she wanted to walk and crawl on the outside and the dog lost again because he just could not stop obsessively licking her. I felt bad putting him outside when he’s been outside most of the day, but my priority must be Sofia.
Just before dinner was ready Sofia had enough and wanted to be held – and wanted food! So I finished one handed before putting her in the high chair and setting the table. Sofia and I ate and when we were almost done Mike came home (6.30). Then Mike ate and Pablo got the leftovers.
Finally it was time for Sofia’s nighttime routine. She was so happy… and only cried for a tiny bit as we left the room and stopped straight away and got comfortable.

On this photo, little Sofia looks very questionably into the world…. I’m glad, you had more peace this night, it’s got to be better…..-:)
